Isuzu D-Max – Common A/C Evaporator Core Failure
The Isuzu D-Max is a tough and reliable ute, however one well-known issue is air-conditioning evaporator core failure.
If your D-Max: • Loses A/C gas regularly
• Needs frequent re-gassing
• Blows warm air, especially in hot weather
• Shows no visible external leaks
There is a high chance the evaporator core inside the dash is leaking. Unfortunately, this type of leak won’t be found during a basic pressure test and re-gassing alone is only a temporary fix.
At our workshop we carry out: ✔️ Correct leak diagnosis
✔️ Evaporator core replacement
✔️ Full A/C system flush and re-gas
✔️ System tested to manufacturer standards
If your D-Max A/C isn’t performing as it should, don’t keep wasting money on re-gassing — fix the root cause and enjoy cold air again.

To all our valued customers,

Thank you so much for all the kind messages, support, and well-wishes regarding Dana’s health. We are happy to announce that Dana is officially back to work and the shop is now open for business.

We also have some important updates to share as we reopen:

After careful consideration, D.A Mechanics will no longer be offering performance modifications on any make or model. This decision has been in the works for some time, and we believe now is the right moment to move forward with this change.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we shift our focus to better serve you.

We would like to sincerely apologise to anyone affected by recent booking changes and cancellations over the past two months. Unfortunately, Dana has been experiencing major health issues and is still unable to work at this time.

As a result, we are not taking any new bookings, and the shop will remain closed until we receive further guidance from health professionals.
