We couldn't ask you all to kick for cash without giving it a go ourselves first 😂

Before Hops & Hooves, the Thoroughbred Park admin office and track team took on Kick for Cash for a trial run. A few dramatic attempts, one genuinely impressive landing. Come race day, you'll be lining up on the course proper, straight after Race 3.

You'll get one shot to kick it into the bin for a share of $1000 cash. Full terms and conditions are up on our website, have a read before the big day.

We asked, and Canberra answered. A record 28 applications have come in for this year's Canberra Community Chest.

Twelve lucky local charities and community groups will be paired with a horse and racing for their share of $50,000 at Thoroughbred Park on Sunday 22 November.

This year's applicants include Palliative Care ACT who came back for another go after building a partnership with Canberra RapeCrisis Centre through last year's event, and Camp Quality , who support 333 local families impacted by childhood cancer.

It's a tough field this year, with so many deserving causes in the running. Partners will be announced soon, so keep an eye out.
