A huge congratulations from everyone at Summernats to Gup and the Powercruise team on an incredible milestone - 100 Powercruise events.

That’s a massive achievement, and one that deserves to be recognised across the Australian automotive scene.

For years, Powercruise has given car guys and girls somewhere to cruise, race, drift, and skid. Somewhere to bring their cars, use them properly, push themselves, entertain the crowds and show what they can do.

It has created opportunities for drivers, builders, fabricators, tuners, workshops, traders and countless people behind the scenes to step up, improve their craft and become part of something much bigger.

Anyone who has been involved in putting on a major automotive event knows just how much work goes into making even one happen.

Venues, permits, staff, officials, safety, scrutineering, competitors, sponsors, traders, ticketing, track prep, logistics, travel, weather, broken cars, broken plans, last-minute dramas and about a thousand other things that have to somehow come together before the first punter comes through the gates.

Now multiply that by 100.

Then add all the other one-day events, the Powerplays, the drag racing, the activations, and the shows that the Powercruise team has taken all around Australia and to the world.

It takes an enormous amount of commitment, resilience, passion and belief in the car community to keep building events of this scale year after year, and we're grateful to have witnessed the continued growth and success of this iconic Aussie event.

Powercruise has earned its place as an important part of Australian automotive culture, and reaching event number 100 is something that Gup, Nicki, and the entire team should be incredibly proud of.
