All at Team Sonic congratulate one of our former drivers Conor Somers. From the fast lane of Formula Ford and Porsche racing, Conor is embarking on a change of pace, enlisting in the Australian Army to serve in the armed forces for our nation.

Like his commitment to racing, we know that Conor will be a great leader and asset to his new, brave line of work.

Second and third on the round podium for Team Sonic!

Xavier Avramides and Hayden Haikel finished the weekend on the rostrum, while Ruiari Avern put in some consistent performances to end the second event on the calendar inside the top 10.

Queensland Raceway is up next for the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge on June 12-14.

Sonic Saturday Sweep.

Two races, two wins for Team Sonic on Saturday at The Bend.

It was Hayden Haikal's turn to take his first victory after teammate Xavier Avramides did so in Race 1.

Xavier back his maiden win by scoring a top five and Ruairi Avern followed right behind.

The 45-minute enduro race completes the weekend tomorrow at 11:50am ACST.

Nice to have a couple of Sonic luminaries helping guide the next generation!

A win for Team Sonic, plus strong results from Hayden Haikal and Ruairi Avern in tough conditions.

Congratulations to Xavier Avramides on his maiden victory. Hayden just missed the podium after a storming drive and Ruairi finished inside the top 10.

Thankfully, it appears Race 2 this afternoon will be held in drier conditions when it starts at 3:25pm ACST.

Malaysian Sonic star Hayden Haikal has become the first driver from outside of Australia or New Zealand to score a pole position in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge.

Hayden led home Sonic team-mate Xavier Avramides to claim a front-row lock-out, while Ruari Avern will start a competitive 10th in Saturday morning's first race at The Bend.
