Hello World! The Balance 464 is here.

She isn’t just a boat, but a state of the art eco voyager, built with trend setting design and fabrication innovations. Elegantly solving the challenge of mid 40s performance catamarans, she perfectly balances ocean capability with speed and luxury.

Congratulations to the engineering and design teams who poured years of innovation into this new model, and the build team who brought her to life.

To her owners, fair winds. We can't wait for you to point her upwind and feel her come alive.

The latest in our new additions to the Balance lineup!

If you’ve been following our journey for the last two years, you’ve seen a dramatic evolution across our fleet. And the 464 is next.

She is getting her finishing touches and is almost ready to go!

The Balance 580 Tokerau II made her splash in St Francis Bay under blue skies and the African sun.

Thank you to our dedicated build team and the passionate people behind the scenes who made this journey possible. A special thank you to John and Rachel for representing the owners on launch day and for a heartfelt speech.

Tiger Lily in the big city 🗽 We just can't post as fast as these two sail…
This Balance 502 has had a very busy schedule after Maine, with appearances at the Newport and Annapolis boat shows.

Yet, somehow the @‌outerpassage crew managed to squeeze in some sightseeing in the Big Apple too!
Tiger Lily is already off on her next adventure. We cant wait to see where!

Hull #007. "Shaken and stirred." 🍸 Paul and Meg joked with friends when they took delivery of their Balance 482 in Cape Town in 2022.

Over the next three years, Rodeless carried them across three oceans and 30,000 nautical miles. From ch*****ne days and dreamy sunsets to 40-knot winds and 20-foot waves in the North Atlantic. Along the way, people would stop them and say "You are living THE dream." But as they learned, "The goal is to die with memories, not dreams."

This adventure inspired Paul to write his book Trimming the Fails. “An honest account of what is required to chase a dream, the preparation, the fear, the seamanship, the marriage, and the grace that carried them home."

As Robert Frost wrote, "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."
