Dyno Results – Toyota Land Cruiser F33A

This Toyota Land Cruiser F33A came in for a Unichip installation and live dyno tune for one specific problem, to resolve the power dip around 2,200 rpm when the changeover from the small turbo to the big turbo takes place.

In standard form, the Land Cruiser produced 227.9 bhp at 3,000 rpm.
After installing the Unichip and completing a full live calibration, it delivered 236.1 bhp at the same rpm, with gains across the entire tested rev range.

While the peak power increase at 3,000 rpm is relatively modest, the dyno results show stronger gains either side of peak power. This gives the Land Cruiser a broader and more usable power delivery, particularly under load and through the working rev range.

Even though this customer did not bring the Land Cruiser in looking for power gains but merely to improve the power curve and getting rid of the dip, we still improved the overall power slightly.

Toyota Hilux 4.0 V6 tuning with Unichip focuses on improving throttle response, power delivery and the usable performance of the naturally aspirated V6 through vehicle-specific live dyno calibration.

Unlike a turbo-diesel Hilux, the 4.0 V6 does not rely on increasing turbo boost to produce additional performance. Instead, calibration focuses on areas such as fuelling and ignition to optimise how the engine performs across its RPM range.

The Unichip works alongside the Toyota factory ECU rather than flashing or overwriting its original software.

This Isuzu 1.9TD came in for a Unichip installation and live dyno tune to improve performance, drivability and overall towing capability.

In standard form, the Isuzu produced 114.3 bhp at 3,000 rpm.
After installing the Unichip and completing a full live calibration, it delivered 139.1 bhp at the same rpm, representing a 22% increase in power with strong gains across the entire usable rev range.

The biggest improvements are seen through the low- and mid-range, providing stronger acceleration, improved throttle response and more usable power when towing, carrying loads or overtaking.

This Kia Seltos 1.5 CRDi came in for a Unichip installation and live dyno tune to improve performance, drivability and overall responsiveness.

In standard form, the Seltos produced 81.9 bhp at 3,500 rpm.
After installing the Unichip and completing a full live calibration, it delivered 93.0 bhp at the same rpm, with consistent gains across the entire working rev range.

Toyota Hilux 2.5 D-4D tuning with Unichip can improve usable torque, throttle response and overall drivability by calibrating the individual vehicle under controlled load on a dyno.

This GWM P-Series Auto came in for a Unichip installation and live dyno tune to improve performance, towing capability and overall drivability.

In standard form, the GWM produced 111.3 bhp at 3,000 rpm.
After installing the Unichip and completing a full live calibration, it delivered 132.2 bhp at the same rpm, representing a 19% increase in power.
