What a fantastic weekend at the Vaal River Bass Classic!

We had the pleasure of showcasing three of our Navis Marine models at this year’s event… The Navis Apex, Apex Striker and Navis 170 Centre Console!

SOMETHING EXCITING IS COMING FROM NAVIS MARINE!

We're super excited to announce that our NEW & IMPROVED NAVIS 24 PONTOON is almost ready to hit the water!

We've been hard at work giving our Navis 24 Pontoon a proper makeover, and we can't wait to show you what we've been building!

Our previous range featured the signature blue colour scheme, but this time we've decided to change things up and go with a stunning WHITE finish, along with a completely redesigned exterior that gives the boat a much more modern, premium look. And trust us, she looks absolutely incredible!

But it's not just about looks! We've made some serious upgrades throughout the boat, including:

• 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 – Better quality materials with a beautiful new grey colour scheme.

And to finish it all off, we're fitting this beauty with a 140HP SUZUKI STEALTH LINE FOUR-STROKE!

The Stealth Line's dark finish is going to complement the new grey upholstery and white exterior beautifully. It's going to be one seriously good-looking combination!

HER FIRST OUTING – VAAL RIVER RATS!

We're currently putting the finishing touches on the boat, with the goal of having everything ready for Vaal River Rats South Africa, where we'll be taking her out on the water for the very first time!

We're incredibly excited about the direction we're taking the Navis Pontoon range, and we genuinely believe this is going to be one of our best-looking pontoons yet.

Since launching the Navis Apex in May last year, it's been one incredible journey! We're now closing in on 𝟮𝟬 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱, and we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to look back at some of the Apex boats we've built, sold and delivered along the way!

From bright yellows and bold reds to some seriously stunning colour combinations, every Apex has had its own personality. But if there's one thing we've learnt, it's that BLACK and BLUE are hands down the fan favourites!

Last Friday marked another special milestone for us at Navis Marine as we handed over yet another brand-new 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 – 𝗛𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟳!

With another Apex heading off to its new home, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give everyone a little update on how things have been going, what's currently available, and more importantly, what we've got planned for the next few builds!

When we officially launched the Navis Apex back in May 2025, we had big expectations for this boat. But seeing how far it's come, the response we've received, and the number of these boats now out on South African waters has been something really special.

And the exciting part? We're only getting started!

Hull Number 18 is currently available and ready for its next owner!

This particular Apex is fitted with a 𝟭𝟰𝟬𝗛𝗣 𝗦𝘂𝘇𝘂𝗸𝗶 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝗯𝘆-𝗪𝗶𝗿𝗲 (𝗗𝗕𝗪) 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘀.

For those wondering how the pricing works, here's a quick breakdown:

• Everything included in the standard package
• Upgraded to a 140HP Suzuki four-stroke with conventional mechanical controls

That's just 𝗥𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 to step up from the 115HP to the 140HP!

Now, Apex #18 is a little different. It's fitted with the 𝟭𝟰𝟬𝗛𝗣 𝗦𝘂𝘇𝘂𝗸𝗶 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝗯𝘆-𝗪𝗶𝗿𝗲, which replaces the traditional mechanical throttle and shift cables with an electronic control system.

That means smooth electronic throttle and gear selection, precise control and a more modern driving experience!

Another Apex that's been spoken for, and another one we'll soon be seeing out on the water.

Hull Number 20 will be finished in a beautiful blue colour scheme and is getting ready to come out of the mould!

We're looking forward to seeing this one come together over the next few weeks.

With the Apex approaching its 20th build since launching in May 2025, we wanted to do something a little different to celebrate the journey so far.

Rather than simply carrying on with the usual builds, we've decided to shake things up a little.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝟮𝟭 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝟮𝟱, 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀!

We're not giving away too much just yet, but let's just say we're having a bit of fun behind the scenes at the factory!

These won't simply be another five Apexes rolling off the production line. We want to make them something worth looking forward to.

From the first Apex we built to the 17th delivery last Friday, every single boat has been part of an exciting journey for our team.

Fresh off the water test this morning! Meet one of our latest Navis 170 builds, and this one is something special!

Our Navis 170 package starts at R425,000 and gets you the hull, a 100hp Suzuki and a trailer. A proper fishing boat, ready to go!

But this client went ALL out on his spec:

• 140hp Suzuki with drive-by-wire
• T-top with rod holders
• Garmin fishfinder
• Watersnake trolling motor
• Custom graphics

Kitted out properly from bow to transom, and she performed beautifully on the water! Hands down one of our favourite builds to date.

𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸!

The Navis 170 is our 17ft centre console and it is built right here in South Africa. That means no two are ever the same. You start with the base package and then you spec it exactly the way you fish, ski or cruise.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗥𝟰𝟮𝟱 𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨

Base price on the Navis 170 centre console is R425 000. That is a brand new package, not a demo and not a runout:

- Brand new Navis 170 centre console hull
- Brand new breakaway trailer
- Brand new 100hp Suzuki four-stroke
- Full Suzuki factory warranty
- Registered, licensed and water tested before you take delivery

From there the boat is yours to build.

𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗘

This particular build is hands down one of our favourites we have ever done! The client knew exactly what he wanted and went the whole way with it.

Here is what he specced:

• 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟰𝟬𝗵𝗽 𝗦𝘂𝘇𝘂𝗸𝗶 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲, 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗲. Massive difference. The electronic throttle and shift is smooth as anything, no cables, no notchy gear changes, just fingertip control. Hole shot on this boat with the 140 is something else.
• 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁. Protects the transom and the hydraulics every time you tow. Cheap insurance and it should honestly be on every boat.
• 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿. Getting back in after a swim, or after you have gone over the side to sort out a snag, makes life so much easier.
• 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼. Music on the water, straight off the phone.
• 𝗟𝗼𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗣𝗦 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁. A really nice one. Chart, sounder, waypoints, structure. If you are fishing dams or working structure this is the piece of kit that changes your day.
• 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁. Quiet approach and proper boat control when you are on the fish. The quick release means you pull it off in seconds when you do not need it, and there is no permanent bracket sitting in the way.
• 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗸. Clean, flat, elevated platform up front. Room to work a rod properly and stay balanced while you do it.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧

This boat honestly turned out stunning! It is a proper all rounder. Comfortable enough for the family on a Sunday, serious enough to fish off on a Saturday morning, and small enough that one person can hook up, tow and launch it without any drama.

That is the whole idea behind the Navis 170. Start at R425 000, then build the boat you actually want instead of settling for whatever is standing on the floor.

TODAY IS THE BIG MOVE.

The boats are loaded, the trailers are rolling, and the Leisure Marine team is officially on the move to Zwartkops Raceway for this weekend’s The South African 4x4 & Outdoor Show

There’s always something lekker about seeing all the boats lined up and heading out together, especially when you know they’re going to be part of a massive weekend filled with 4x4s, outdoor gear, motorsport, camping, toys and, of course, plenty of boats.

If you’re coming through this weekend, make sure you come and find the Leisure Marine team and say howzit.
