We at Body Right Panel Beaters and Spray painters specialise in accident repairs , panel beating , spray painting , mechanical repairs and all major structural repairs. In our 26th year you can be rest assured that our superior workmanship is guaranteed at Body Right Panel Beaters a proud member of the R.M.I. (Retail Motor Industry) We are situated at 37 Magnolia Road in Braelyn , East London. The building covers about 2000m2 under roof , housing a skilled staff complement of 30 people managed and run by Hayden Oborem (Son of the late Garth Oberem) with state of the art equipment and spray booths to carry out the work from minor scratches and dent's to major repair work. Hayley Mcloughlin (daughter of the late Garth Oberem) handles the financial side of the business at which she is very skilled at doing. Body Right Panel Beaters does work for all the major insurance companies and we also do work for private / cash customers as well. factory approved repairer and are currently working on getting more factory approvals. Body Right Panel Beaters and Spray painters pride ourselves on being hands on and no job is to big or to small for us to do we are a one-stop shop for all vehicle repair requirements.

, the Motor Industry Staff Association, will join forces with Global Business Solutions to train the retail motor industry on 14 May 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 on how to apply the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) when you sell a vehicle.

It has been almost 3 years since the full promulgation of the Act and as expected, the “water is still finding its level”, evident in the different interpretations by stakeholders of the same set of facts. Of course, this does not assist in conducting business transactions as it may prejudice sales, client-centricity and ultimately key relationships.

This question was raised to the Union’s Legal Department after members in dealerships reported the difficulty, they have due to the wrong interpretation of the law by role players in the retail motor industry.

POPIA aims to safeguard personal information processed by both public and private entities. It upholds the right to privacy as enshrined in the South African Constitution by protecting individuals’ personal data from misuse.

MISA wants to give its members clarity and guidance.

The Five Golden Rules when booking your car in for motor body repairs.

1. If insured, your insurer will probably give you a list of preferred motor body repairers (MBRs). Check online reviews for the repairers on the list and ask for recommendations from family and friends. If you are not insured, always make sure that you select a reputable accredited repairer to do your accident damage repairs.

2. Make sure the MBR thoroughly explains the repair process to you and provides you with an estimated time frame for the duration of repairs. Find out what work will be completed on the car. In terms of your policy, what is excluded (and included!) from the repair in terms of your policy.

3. Remove all valuables from a clean car before check-in. Your MBR will not accept responsibility for the loss of any loose valuable items or be held responsible for any paint or glass defects that may be hidden or latent if the vehicle is not clean on check-in.

4. Review your insurance policy carefully. Be sure that you understand the terms and conditions. Talking to your insurance provider and asking for clarifications or additional coverage options - such as comprehensive insurance or additional riders that cover specific types of damages - will help you to avoid unexpected expenses.

5. Question what parts will be fitted to your car during the repair process ie. OEM, alternate, used or certified aftermarket parts. If you are unsure, triple-check with your insurer and your repairer.
