How do you know if your vehicles Oil cooler is working? We can do that for you! We pressure test oil coolers & clean them as well. If they are leaking, we can also supply new oil coolers.
A bad or failing oil cooler can cause the engine oil to overheat, leading to accelerated wear, poor lubrication, and a drop in overall performance. If the cooler physically ruptures, engine oil and coolant can mix, creating a milky sludge that severely damages internal engine components.
An oil cooler acts like a radiator for your engine oil, preventing it from overheating and breaking down under extreme temperatures.
If you suspect your oil cooler is bad, it is critical to stop driving the vehicle to prevent engine damage. Operating the car with a breached cooler risk wearing out bearings, blowing head gaskets, or completely seizing the engine.
**Call us and we can inspect the oil and cooling systems.
**If a failure is confirmed, the cooler will typically need to be replaced.
**Once the new cooler is installed, the entire cooling system will require a deep flush to remove all traces of the oily sludge.
How to prevent oil cooler failure?
Replace oil and oil filter regularly and according to the vehicle's maintenance schedule. Ensure that the lubrication system is clean. Metal particles, dirt, carbon or oil sludge build up must be eliminated, as it can reduce the lubricant flow and cause the pressure relief valve to get stuck.
yes, we can do all that. If you haven't yet changed your vehicles oil and oil filter, we can do that for you! remember your vehicle's oil should be changed yearly even if the vehicle isn't driven much.

Fuel tanks & how the fuel system works: 🚗
The fuel tank and fuel system in a motor vehicle work together to store and deliver fuel to the engine for combustion. The fuel tank stores the fuel, while the fuel system components like the pump, filter, and lines transport it. The fuel pump draws fuel from the tank, and it's then filtered before being delivered to the engine via fuel lines.
How the System Works: 🚕
Fuel is stored in the fuel tank.
The fuel pump draws fuel from the tank and sends it through the fuel lines.
The fuel passes through a filter to remove any contaminants.
The fuel is then delivered to either the fuel injectors or the carburetor.
Fuel injectors (or the carburetor) mix the fuel with air in the correct ratio and deliver it to the engine.
The fuel is burned in the engine's combustion chambers, producing power.
Fuel System Components: 🚗 🚕
Fuel Pump: Located inside or near the fuel tank, the pump draws fuel from the tank and creates pressure to move it through the system.
Fuel Filter: A crucial component that removes impurities and contaminants from the fuel before it reaches the engine.
Fuel Lines: Flexible or rigid pipes that carry fuel from the tank to the engine.
Fuel Injectors/Carburettor: Modern vehicles use fuel injectors to inject fuel directly into the engine, while older models may have a carburettor to mix fuel with air.
Fuel Pressure Regulator: Maintains the correct pressure in the fuel system.

Faulty Radiator?
Keep an eye out for the following:
-Overheated Engine
-Radiator Leaking Coolant
-Discoloured or Sludgy Coolant
-Lack of Coolant
-Damaged or Clogged Radiator Fins
A faulty radiator can lead to all sorts of problems, from engine overheating to loss of power.
If you notice any of the above symptoms, taking action is crucial. An overheating engine can cause severe damage, and a leaking radiator can lead to low coolant levels and further engine damage.
Be sure to check your radiator regularly for wear and tear and have it serviced as needed to keep your engine running smoothly.
Give us a call or pop in at our workshop to get your Radiator checked & serviced.
