Update on the Mercedes:
Jwd Car Repairs

We’re at that stage where everything depends on getting the correct parts. These aren’t parts you can just grab aftermarket, so genuine Mercedes parts had to be ordered. Once they arrive, the engine build can continue properly.

Then the Hyundai i10 came in after the oil pump housing broke where the tensioner bolts on. That caused the timing belt to move off the cam gear, and unfortunately, all 12 valves were bent. So the head was sent in, rebuilt with new valves, guides, and valve stem seals. It also got a new head gasket, timing belt, tensioner, oil pump, oil pump pickup, fresh oil, antifreeze, and thermostat housing. After adjusting the lifters, it’s now running quiet and 100%.

The Pajero came in with a leaking steering rack and rear main seal leak. The rack has gone for recon, the rear main seal is done, and it also got a full service.

The VW Polo

The VW Polo came into the workshop with cooling issues, and after inspection, it was clear there was a lot more going on. The client decided not to continue with the repair, so we offered to buy it from the client and took on the job ourselves.

From there, the team went right through it. New head gasket, new timing chain, new guides, new tensioners, new alternator belt, new radiator, new thermostat housing, fresh oil, antifreeze, and a new water bottle.

And this is why overheating should never be ignored. Once an engine runs too hot, it can affect the head gasket, cooling system, timing components, and the overall health of the engine.

The good news?
The Polo is now back together, driving properly, and the engine is quiet.

The Polo has now turned into a fully sorted little car ready for its next chapter!

A Polo that came in with overheating and a noisy motor.

After inspection, we found the classic sign of a blown head gasket: milky oil under the oil cap. This usually means the engine oil and coolant have mixed, which can cause serious internal damage if not repaired properly.

To get it sorted the right way, this Polo is getting a new head gasket set, timing chain, tensioner, guides, oil pump, radiator, and thermostat housing.

A good reminder: if your vehicle starts overheating, making unusual engine noises, or you notice milky oil, don’t keep driving it. Get it checked before the damage gets worse.
