Another growing business finds its new home in Fisantekraal!

Capitol is proud to have assisted JWD Car Repairs with the next chapter of its growth.

Founded by Jarren Wayne Dunckley, JWD Car Repairs has grown from the ground up into a thriving automotive repair business, built on a commitment to preventative maintenance, honest service and fast, reliable turnaround times.

With continued growth came the need for more space. JWD required larger premises to support its expanding operations, and Capitol was pleased to assist in securing a 776m² industrial facility in Fisantekraal.

We wish Jarren and the entire JWD Car Repairs team every success in their new premises and look forward to seeing the business continue to grow.

Answering a few questions from our recent Mk1 video 👇
JWD Car Repairs | Durbanville

A standard service on a Mk1 generally costs around R3,500–R5,500, depending on the brands of oil, plugs and other parts you choose. We prefer quality products like Bosch plugs and Liqui Moly oil — a little more expensive, but quality makes a difference.

We’re also currently busy with the clutch, and once everything is finished and dialled in, the Mk1 will be going onto the dyno. We’ll definitely be sharing videos and sound clips once it’s ready!

Clutch Replacements…
JWD Car Repairs | Durbanville

A Hyundai i30 came in with a very hard clutch. After removing the gearbox, we found that the release bearing shaft and housing had worn, causing the bearing to run incorrectly and damage the shaft.

The gearbox was stripped and the housing sent away for repairs before fitting a new clutch. While it’s here, we’re also replacing the tappet cover gasket and carrying out its annual service.

We’ve also got an Avanza in with a clutch problem, which is currently being stripped down for a clutch replacement as well.

Hilux Services
JWD Car Repairs | Durbanville

Both these Hiluxes came in for their annual services. On the first one, we also checked a handbrake issue. The cable itself was fine — the problem was a binding adjuster at the rear drums, which has now been repaired and sorted.

Both vehicles have had their service work completed using original Denso service kits, and we’re just waiting for the oil to arrive before finalising everything. Service books are updated, stickers are going in, and both will be ready for collection shortly.

JWD Car Repairs is an established independent workshop. We’re looking for a qualified petrol mechanic to join our team.
Why work here

• Every make, not one. Servicing, diagnostics, performance and 4x4 — not the same three jobs on one brand.
• Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00. No weekends.
• Proper tooling and modern diagnostic equipment.
• A workshop that’s kept clean and run properly.
• Room to progress for the right person.

What we need

• Trade Test Certificate: Motor Mechanic (Red Seal)
• 3+ years post-qualification workshop experience
• Confident diagnosing faults, not just replacing parts
• Valid driver’s licence
• Own basic hand tools
Nice to have
• Dealership training on any brand
• Performance, tuning or forced induction experience
• Auto electrical
What we offer
• R18,000 – R24,000 per month depending on experience

• Training paid for where it makes you better at the job
