Help us protect the future of independent vehicle repair!
Tell your Maine lawmakers to oppose LD 1228 and uphold the will of Maine voters.

LD 1228 undermines Maine Question 4, the Right to Repair Vehicle Data Access law approved by more than 84% of voters. That vote made it clear that Maine drivers should control their vehicle data and be free to share it with the independent repair shop or dealership of their choice.

LD 1228 disregards that decision. If enacted, it weakens the voter-approved law and opens the door for manufacturers to limit access to vehicle data, steering car owners toward manufacturer-controlled repair channels and reducing consumer choice.

Maine voters already spoke clearly. The Legislature should respect that decision.

Please take 30 seconds to contact your Maine lawmakers and urge them to oppose LD1228 and support sustaining the Governor’s veto.
