Information 👀 North Carolina Dmv recommend you remove your sticker from your license plate to avoid confusion in Another state.👀

Starting Oct. 1, North Carolina drivers no longer need to display a license plate sticker. We’re advising drivers to remove any old stickers to avoid confusion, especially if you’re traveling out of state.

If you’re having trouble removing the old stickers, try warming the sticker first with a heat gun, a hair dryer, or by parking in the sun.

📣 Important update for parents with teen drivers!

Starting Oct. 1, North Carolina is eliminating the Driving Eligibility Certificate requirement for teens applying for a Level 1 Limited Learner Permit. Keep in mind that they’ll still need to take a driver’s ed course and obtain a Driver Education Certificate, but after this date, they won’t need to bring a Driving Eligibility Certificate with them to get their permit.
