Relationships like this are a huge part of ProTorque’s history.

Our connection with Vinny goes all the way back to the early days of import drag racing — NOPI, IDRC, NHRA Sport Compact, and the record-setting Supra era that helped shape an entire generation of turbo racing.

Those years at the track working alongside racers and teams like Vinny’s played a major role in the development philosophy that still drives ProTorque today.

Real-world testing.
Real-world feedback.
Real racers.
Real results.

Long before “bolt-on combinations” and internet experts became the norm, these teams were out there helping push the limits of turbocharged automatic performance one pass at a time.

Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.

Will Lee and the team at English Racing came to us looking to further refine the converter side of their MK5 Supra program and see if there was more left in the combination.

After evaluating the setup and making a converter change to the PROTORQUE MX8 program…

the car went from 8.20s to 7.90s almost immediately. 👀

That’s a massive jump at this level.

This isn’t about throwing random parts at a car. It’s about understanding how the converter, turbo combination, engine package, weight, gearing, and power curve all work together as a complete system.

The combo is serious:

🔥 Extreme Turbo Systems turbo kit
