Twenty-five years ago, countless people left home on an ordinary Tuesday morning. They kissed their spouses goodbye, dropped their children off, grabbed a cup of coffee and headed to work, never imagining it would be the last time their families would see them.

At 8:46 a.m. on September 11, 2001, the world changed forever.

By the end of that horrific morning, 2,977 innocent lives had been taken. Behind that number were fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, friends and coworkers. There were final phone calls made from airplanes and burning buildings, voices trembling as they said “I love you” one last time. There were families waiting beside phones that would never ring again and children who spent the rest of their lives wishing for one more hug.

As terrified people rushed down the stairs of the World Trade Center, firefighters, police officers and first responders climbed upward. Carrying heavy equipment and the hope of strangers on their shoulders, they continued toward the smoke, flames and darkness. One by one, radio transmissions went silent, but their courage will echo forever.

The passengers and crew of Flight 93 fought back, sacrificing themselves in the skies above Pennsylvania so that others might live. Their final resting place near Shanksville remains sacred ground and a reminder of what courage truly looks like.

Today, we remember the 343 FDNY members, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority police officers and every innocent soul taken that day. We remember the empty seats, the unfinished lives and the families who have carried an immeasurable pain for twenty-five years.

Time may continue moving forward, but we must never allow the world to move on without them.

From all of us at Spitlers Garage & Towing, we promise to remember their names, honor their courage and teach future generations about the day America wept and then stood together.

Moments like this mean more to us than people realize! She spotted one of our trucks, pulled into the parking lot, and grabbed a quick picture with it.

We are truly blessed to have such an incredible relationship with our community. Your support and pride in our company mean the world to us and we appreciate every one of you…especially the ones with nice rides! 😂

Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and fellow members of the Womelsdorf Volunteer Fire Company following the passing of Fire Police Lieutenant Paul Krick.

It was always a pleasure working alongside you, Paul. Your 45 years of service and dedication to your community speak volumes about the kind of man you were. Thank you for answering the call for so many years and for everything you gave to those around you.

Rest Easy, Paul. 🚒🔥

This is what it’s all about. ❤️

We recently had the privilege of attending National Night Out with Spring Township, Sinking Spring Borough/South Heidelberg Township, and Brecknock/Cumru Townships.

For us, these nights are about so much more than bringing out a truck. They’re about seeing the families behind the community we serve, watching kids light up when they climb into one of our trucks, and standing beside the first responders that we’re fortunate enough to call not only partners, but friends.

Most of the time, we meet these men and women underneath flashing lights on someone’s worst day. National Night Out reminds us why we all do what we do: the people standing behind those lights. The families. The kids. The community.

Our guys genuinely loved every conversation, every handshake, every smile, and every little future tow operator, police officer, firefighter, and medic who climbed through our trucks.

This is our home. These are our people. And serving this community will never be something we take for granted.

Thank you for continuing to welcome and support the Spitlers family. ❤️🇺🇸
