Creek Side Milling in White, South Dakota has invested in mutliple areas to upgrade their feed mill facility in the last couple of years.

Starting with feed mill automation, Creek Side Milling chose to automate their batching, receiving, reclaim, and rolling systems with additional equipment monitoring sensors. In additional to the automation, they installed a 10-bin stainless steel micro ingredient system and a tote hopper and scale system. This tote hopper system (featured in the photo below) included 10 tote hoppers and discharge augers connected to two 30 cubic foot tote scales to handle their minor ingredients.

Lastly, they chose to upgrade their NexGen Office (NGO) package to utilize the advanced and contract pricing modules, pre-order and account interfaces, adn the VFD tracking module. Overall an investment in their ability to seamlessly manage their business data all in the NGO system.

Brodersen Farms in Randolph, Nebraska, partnered with Easy Automation to implement a control system for its batching, mixing, grinding, and truck loadout processes.

The project included the NexGen® Feed Mill Platform complete with batching controls, business management, customized HMI screens for visibility of facility processes, and a hand-add workstation. Together, these solutions provided Brodersen Farms with automated batching, ingredient inventory management, ingredient tracking and reporting, and automatic routing of finished feed. Brodersen Farms also invested in grinding and rolling controls, equipment runtime monitoring and maintenance reminders. All powered by our UL approved control and motor starter panels.

The result is an integrated feed mill automation solution designed to improve batching speed, accuracy, visibility, and control throughout Brodersen Farms’ feed production process.

Wedgworth’s, Inc. began looking for a new automation partner when their existing system was struggling to keep up with production demands. They needed a solution that could handle the complexity of their operation while providing the flexibility, reliability, and support their team needed.

Easy Automation provided full-facility automation for their Moore Haven, Florida agronomy facility. Since switching to Easy Automation, Wedgworth’s has increased production capacity by 400%, going from struggling to hit 100 tons per day to producing 400–500 tons per day.

The solution incorporated inventory and order management, custom HMI controls, facility reporting, and other tools designed around the way Wedgworth’s operates.
