🔥 Extreme Heat = Higher Risk for Vehicle Fires 🔥

With temperatures climbing, your vehicle is working harder than ever. While vehicle fires are uncommon, extreme heat can make existing problems much worse. A little prevention can go a long way.

Here are a few ways to help keep your vehicle safe:

✅ Don’t ignore fluid leaks. Oil, fuel, transmission fluid, or power steering fluid can ignite if they contact hot engine or exhaust components.

✅ Keep up on maintenance. Worn belts, failing hoses, overheating engines, and neglected electrical issues can all increase the risk of a fire.

✅ Watch your temperature gauge. If your engine starts overheating, pull over safely and shut it off. Continuing to drive can cause catastrophic damage and increase fire risk.

✅ Pay attention to warning signs. Burning smells, smoke, flickering lights, or repeatedly blown fuses should never be ignored.

✅ Keep the engine compartment clean. Excessive grease, oil buildup, leaves, and debris can become fuel for a fire.

✅ Don’t overload electrical accessories. Poorly installed aftermarket wiring and overloaded circuits are common causes of electrical fires.

✅ Carry a small ABC-rated fire extinguisher. It won’t solve every situation, but it can make a huge difference if a small fire starts.

🚨 If you ever see smoke or flames, pull over immediately, turn the engine off, get everyone out of the vehicle, move to a safe distance, and call 911. Never open the hood if flames are visible, as introducing oxygen can cause the fire to spread rapidly.

If you notice a fluid leak, overheating, a burning smell, or anything that just doesn’t seem right, don’t wait until it becomes a major problem.

🇺🇸🇺🇸As we go into this weekend to celebrate our Independence Day let’s not forget… 🇺🇸🇺🇸

🛠️🔧Wicked Wrench Garage and Automotive hopes everyone has a safe and fun Independence Day. But let’s also not forget what it took to get this nation to this point. Wouldn’t it be great if people and things could be simpler?

The United States of America is the greatest experiment of freedom the world has ever known because the men and women of the American Revolutionary War were fierce in their beliefs and were willing to die for their principles. And they did. Those who freed our country were prepared to lose everything and they did. And yet they still stood.

In today’s society, people are too willing to turn a blind eye instead of standing for what’s right simply because they fear backlash. We are a nation that has taken for granted what we once fought to the death for. And those who are vocal are referred to as trouble makers. The untrusted.

Let’s remember the hundreds of thousands of men and women who have and still do stand on the front lines “against all enemies foreign and domestic”. Let’s remember that freedom is never truly free. 🔥

On this, the 250th Independence Day let’s celebrate and let’s hold each other accountable to being good stewards of the blessings we are given endlessly. 🙏🙏

Yesterday, before taking a couple days vacation time/holiday time, our owners made lunch for everyone. We ate together, prayed and bonded for our lunch time.
