The March auctions just wrapped up and WOW β the numbers are in. π₯
The 2026 Amelia Island auctions brought in a staggering $255.9 million across 363 cars sold, up over 30% from last year's $195 million. That's a 92% sell-through rate, folks. The market is HUNGRY.
The headliner? A 1960 Ferrari 250 GT California SWB Spider that hammered at $16.5 MILLION at Gooding Christie's. But here's what really caught our eye β modern supercars absolutely stole the show. A 2003 Ferrari Enzo hit $15.2M, a Gulf Blue Porsche Carrera GT set a new record at $6.7M, and a '72 Lamborghini Miura SV broke model records at $6.6M... even with less-than-perfect condition.
The big trend? Younger collectors are reshaping the game. Japanese performance cars from the '80s and '90s β think Supra Turbos and Skyline GT-Rs β are climbing fast, while some traditional American muscle is seeing corrections. The global classic car market hit $39.7 billion in 2024 and is projected to nearly DOUBLE to $77.8 billion by 2032.
If you've been sitting on a clean, low-mile modern classic... your patience might be about to pay off.
