Volt Girl I get a lot of questions about my new Chevy Volt. So, this is a easy place for someone to get some answers about the car from a real owner, Me.

I love my new car and LOVE talking and sharing her! So, ask away...Email me [email protected]. My Volt's name is Daisy. She is the best car EVER! Ask anyone that has met her! They will say the same. She is beautiful inside and out... and is practical in every way too! I can go months in between fill ups and most days I don't even use a drop of gasoline!

Welcome to the family, Mystie! She's the Last of her kind, a Unicorn as some call her. :) She will be loved for her whole life just like Daisy is still loved! Hubby will be saving gas money now too! He's driving Eleven now!
Since I know my 2011 wouldn't last forever and the last Volt came off the line recently... we broke down and bought a new one. This one is just as amazing as the 2011.
I really hope Chevy changes their mind and brings back the Volt when it is time for us to get a new one. Finger's crossed! :) In meantime... we will enjoy these two! :)

Well, managed to get another flat tire. That is two in 9 days. :(
This one was the fault of Michigan pot hole filled roads vs aluminum rims. Pot hole won and cracked Daisy's rim. :(
While wheel was off...took a peek at her brakes... they are in great shape! I have yet to replace the brakes and she has over 100,000 miles! I am certain that is unheard of for any other car, but I could be wrong. The regenerative braking system is amazing! Clearly works well! :)
Having to leave her up on jack stand to get the rim repaired gave me a perfect opportunity to give Daisy her once every 2 years oil change. :)
I would take total credit, but I can't... My hubby had to bust both the plug and filter loose for me. Thanks Phil Potter! :) Where would I be without you!?!? Nevermind, I do not want to even think about it.

Don't mind that Daisy needs a bath... but wanted to share she went the furthest west she's ever been this weekend... from her hometown of Detroit all the way to Nebraska. Approximately 22 gallons of gas used for the one way trip. That is an average of 36mpg.
Good stuff! :)
And for laughs...check out the name of the gas station. Wondering what kind of rewards they have with their frequency card?? LOL

So, this happened tonight...Daisy got her first BIG boo boo! Some not nice guys decided to do bad things by using a stolen credit card at a cell phone store. During their attempt to get away, they plowed into The Daisy! Hit and Run! No fair!
She'll get fixed up by the BEST neighbor ever (who happens to be the greatest mechanic ever)!

The restaurant we were at took care of us by getting the police there right away! They have wonderful food and terrific service. The owner even bought our dinner. That was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for the very generous gift Mama Mia's! We frequently stop in, so we will see each other again soon, I am sure! :)

Hip hip hooray for Daisy! Out at a softball game. Someone needed a jump for their car. The car was in a full parking lot with limited access to it, only on one side. The side with access was not the same side as the car's battery. Since a Volt can jump from the rear of the car....Daisy backed up to the car and was able to park perpendicular in front of the car to have the jumper cables fit. Bam! Problem solved! Go team Volt! :)
