🚗 What does your check engine light REALLY mean? 🤔

Contrary to popular belief… it doesn’t always mean your engine is about to explode. 😅

So, let's take a closer look at its function and why our technicians recommend replacement. The drive belt, also known as the serpentine or accessory belt, plays a crucial role in transmitting power from the engine's crankshaft to the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and A/C compressor. In essence, it ensures your battery remains charged, your engine operates within a safe temperature range, and your steering remains smooth. Constructed from durable EPDM rubber, it is designed to withstand heat and friction, but even the most resilient belts can deteriorate over time (as evident in this example).
