Here to Red, white, & Blue waters 🇺🇲⚓️Happy 4th of July from our crew to yours!
Planning to catch the fireworks from the water tonight? 🎇 Before you cast off, make sure your evening is anchored in safety!
With crowded waterways and nighttime navigation, the Anchor Boatworks crew wants to remind you of a few quick safe-boating rules of thumb:
• Check your lights: Ensure your navigation lights work before sunset. Turn running lights off and keep your single white anchor light on once you are stationary. 💡
• Keep a headcount: Make sure you have properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets for every single passenger on board. 🦺
• Designate a captain: Sun, wind, and waves multiply the effects of alcohol. Keep a designated, sober boat operator at the helm. 🍻
• Watch the scope: Give yourself plenty of extra anchor line space to account for crowded holiday anchorages and potential boat drift. ⚓️
• Have fun, stay safe, and let freedom run! If you need a post-holiday tune-up or hull inspection, our shop doors will be open next week to get you right back out there. 🛠️🇺🇸
