IT’S CALLED TEAMWORK – A prior customer came in, only to find that his usual representative was away. Just like family, another sales professional stepped up. The project involved getting a ’69 Dodge Dart up to speed to give to the customer’s son. With the same sense of family and attention to detail, we put together a great system consisting of Kicker LX amps, AudioControl speakers and a Sony radio in an under-dash kit. Our skilled install tech did a great job on the kick panel and back-package-tray speakers. We had this Dart pounding with a pair of Kicker CompQ 10 subwoofers! ROCKIN’ THE DUNES – The owner of a Polaris Pro RZR came in with a factory-stock sound system. This is his second RZR, and the owner called the current system “very underwhelming,” complaining that it distorted when turned up. He asked about adding additional speakers and an amp to bring up the total volume and clarity. Because we work on a lot of similar toys, knew exactly what to add to really bring this Polaris to life. We installed the AudioControl ACX300.4 UTV amplifier to deliver clean power and linked it to two pairs of Kicker 45KM654L marine speakers. We installed one pair in a door pod that was made by SSV Works and installed the second pair in 6.5-inch cage pods that mount to the roll bar. Upon completion our customer said this is exactly what he was looking for. He left excited to hit the trails and let everyone hear what a RZR should sound like. The owner of a 2010 Nissan Murano returned to our Broadway location in Tucson for a major overhaul to her bass system. With the help the Assistant Manager And and Lead Technician, they put together this awesome set up using Kicker car audio. When adding bass, we wanted to make sure that it wouldn’t drown out the rest of the sound, so we pumped up her door speakers with a very slick Alpine SA32 F 4 channel amplifier, giving her 50 watts per speaker to keep it nice and rich at high volumes. Chris went to work on a one-of-a-kind box specifically for two Kicker Comp R 43CWR122 12-inch subwoofers. A properly designed custom enclosure will give you maximum performance with a variety of different music genres or can be built to maximize one type of music just for you. We powered these beasts with a Kicker 46CXA1200.1 mono amplifier. Our lead tech’s attention to detail wouldn’t let him mount the amps just anywhere, so he built a custom amp rack where the spare tire used to be under the rear floor. A truck owner brought his 2016 Ford F150 to Audio Express in Tucson looking for a complete sound overhaul! He found himself driving the truck more often and hated the fact that he couldn't listen to his own music. What made things worse, when he did hear something he liked, it just didn't move him the way he wanted. We knew that the perfect solution would be to install a high-end car audio system. Our team of professionals put together this very loud, crisp setup using JL Audio and Blam for speakers and amps. These two companies flourish by producing hard hitting audio systems and providing the smoothest listening experience possible. We installed the BLAM Relax speaker series. We went with the 6x9-inch 690RS for the front stage and paired those with the BLAM 6.5-inch 165RC for the rear doors. Now that we had the car speakers in place it was time to install the amplifiers and the subwoofers. For this we went with the JL Audio 12W3 12 inch subwoofer and ran everything off of JL Audio RD400/4 4 channel amplifier and the RD1000/1 mono amplifier. For the radio, we went with the JVC KWV850BT Bluetooth car stereo with a 6.8-inch clear resistive touchscreen. This way we had a solid source unit with 13-band equalizer and time alignment to make this system sound amazing. Over here at our Broadway location, we got to spice up this 2018 Polaris Ranger. He had seen those ride command systems that the new Razors have and wanted something close to it. Our Lead Technician and Manager went right to work showing him all the options and how they could be customized to look like they belong in the vehicle from factory. During the process, he expressed that he liked to drive it around town from time to time and it would be nice to have some type of FM Reception along with the ability to use his IPod. He loved the simple look of Kicker’s KMC10 Weather-Resistant All-In-One Media Center w/Bluetooth and of course the fact that it supports all of his needs. Using his unrivaled expertise, our tech created a custom ABS dash plate that flush mounts the unit right into the center pocket of the dash. The customer stated that if he hadn’t know better, he would have assumed it came with it. Here at our Tucson location on Broadway, we had a customer come in looking to add some convenience and drivers safety to his mother’s vehicle. He originally came in for something simple, but after talking to him about some of the newer features on the car stereos today, he was super stoked about Apple CarPlay. We went with a Kenwood Excelon DDX6906S multimedia receiver, which has Apple CarPlay, a crisp high resolution display, Bluetooth for hands free calling and music streaming. We also added a nice Chrome Backup Camera to match the existing accents on the truck. She was very excited to not have to turn her head around to see what's behind her. Over here at our location in Tucson on Broadway, we had a customer bring us his brand new 2019 Dodge Ram looking to add some serious low end sound to his car audio system. Having had bigger bass setups in the past and seeing how the truck was set up, he was very uncertain that it could be done without some serious modification. Our team of experts hand-crafted this custom enclosure suited for 4 JL Audio W3 8 inch subwoofers under the rear seat. They were powered by Kicker’s robust KXA 800.1 Mono Amplifier. At our Broadway Location in Tucson, a customer brought in his 2019 Chevy Colorado after a less than satisfactory installation was done by "the other guys". He had asked us to check out what had been done and why the thousands he had spent, sounded worse than when he brought it to them in the first place. Our professional installation team discovered quite a bit was wired improperly and that there were quite a few broken panels through the vehicle. So, in light of this unfortunate situation, we took what was broken and made the most of it by adding a Kenwood Excelon's Hi-Res XR9015 5 Channel amplifier along with Audio Control's LC7I Signal Processor. The panel behind the seat was torn up in a bad way, so we cut the panel and built a custom mounting board to recess the amplifier and processor making the installation seamless. He has since been back to tell us that his neighbors HATE the system, but that it makes all the time in his truck worth every second. A customer brought us this awesome classic VW Bug looking for a car audio upgrade. With today's laws regarding phone use while driving, the easy choice is to get something with Bluetooth Hands-Free calling and music streaming. The JVC car stereo model KDT905BTS fits the bill and also comes with color changing options, 13-Band EQ, and easy to operate controls. The speakers were also dated like the radio, so we added Kenwood Excelon 6.5 inch speakers to the rear area. Being professionals, we also added Foam Baffles to not only help seal the speaker on the panel, but to give the speaker a contained air space to really help it sound amazing instead of having nothing behind it.
