Gen 2 4.0t EA825 ECU/TCU Software and flash tools are now live on the site. Following the last few months of testing we are happy to announce that with no component modifications on 91 octane users are seeing over 100 whp and 180 wtq for gains over stock. This makes for a completely different driving experience. With better fuel and modifications the gains become even more substantial.

Rs3 / TTRS flex fuel sensor kit update:

SRM has decided to machine an unavailable piece to make the kit truly plug and play. The instructions will be revised asap to remove a portion where you swap a stock fitting over. This also makes the stock line easier to reuse if needed. This piece goes to the rail/engine side.

On the sensor and feed side, what was once the upgraded kit, is now the standard kit with high quality AN fittings and larger diameter push lock hose.

The kit price has been raised slightly to accommodate this major improvement. All currently paid orders will not see an upcharge, those orders are beginning to ship next week.

Lot's of talk of folded rods on the DAZA and DNWA engine that are in the RS3 / TTRS / RSQ3. Also a lot of questions about what that means and how to prevent it. Here at VLMspec we limit torque in the programming of the stock ecu aggressively to stop rods from bending unless upgraded. Here is a graphic representation of the TQ curve and you can see the flat spots in the spool and initial peak tq range also how its held lower than it could obviously be.

The rods are most likely to break from 3000-5000 rpm. On stock blocks with e85 this must be adhered to. Or you will eventually fail your connecting rod and ruin your engine.

Even with these limitations the cars are still 10.6-10.7 @ 130-132 consistently across the user base on street tires with average 60 ft times. For those who care about more than the qtr mile, you can hold these cars flat out all day.
