Sure, the proper crimping tool IS expensive, but an insurance claim because your van burned down because all your power connections pulled out and arced until they caught fire would be a much bigger headache. Do it right the first time….. or call me.

BMS Swap on an Sokbattery. This "brain" (battery management system) is why lithium batteries are so great, constantly monitoring and balancing each cell in the battery. Monitoring temperature, amperage, voltage. Toggling heat pads for the cells when below freezing and a charge current is detected. Lithium batteries typically last 10+ years, and the prices have come down a lot. Stop buying lead acid batteries for your RV. They suck. You know it. I know it.

Call me about lithium battery conversions.

A lot of DIY van builds I see contain "CCA" power cable because its cheap. Stands for Copper Clad Aluminum. ALUMINUM. I rip that stuff out and replace it with the correct wire, 100% copper welding wire. Last photo is the result of CCA wire and a misplaced fuse. Luckily there was no other damage to the van. Spend the $, do it right the first time.

Emergency service call for a 2023 RV with a failing furnace. Easily half of the calls I get for furnaces are for rigs less than a year old. Manufacturing standards for RV’s these days are pretty bad. I do see 10-15 year old furnaces frequently that work as good as the day they were new.
