🛻 Paint Correction Rescue: 1971 K5 Blazer

This beautiful ‘71 K5 Blazer rolled into our shop with a story of frustration. The owner had been throwing money at his build, only to be left with a poorly executed single-stage paint job. He was completely losing faith in the process—we saw his concern and absolutely felt his pain. Luckily, he brought it to the right place.

The Challenge:
•Poor Finish: The recent paint job was covered in unsightly paint nibs and deep dimples.

•High Risk: We couldn’t safely chase the dimples without sanding down to the lowest point, which severely risked burning right through the fresh paint.

Our Process:
•Precision Wet Sanding: We carefully wet-sanded the finish using 3000-grit to safely level out the surface nibs.

•Compounding: Followed up with a heavy compound step to remove the sanding marks.

•Polishing: Finished it all off with a high-gloss polish to bring out maximum depth and clarity.

•Letting it Breathe: Since the paint is so fresh, we intentionally skipped applying any sealants or ceramic coatings. Fresh paint needs time to properly “off-gas” and cure without being sealed in.

The Result:
As you can see, the transformation is incredible. We safely maximized the gloss and clarity of the single-stage paint without compromising its thickness.

At the end of the day, we didn’t just restore the paint on this classic Blazer—we restored the owner’s faith. 🤝✨

I always tell myself, “This is the last time I’m correcting a black vehicle...” 😅 What starts as a standard 2-stage correction always turns into a 4- or 5-stage labor of love.

We went all out on this Yukon AT4: cut, polish, jewel, and coat to get that flawless, deep mirror finish! ✨ As the cherry on top, we matched the front windows with STEK nano carbon film. Worth every drop of sweat! 💧🖤

Preserving a JDM Masterpiece, The Japanese Ferrari! 🏎️✨

We recently had this incredible 1995 Acura NSX in the bay, and it’s a perfect reminder of why this car completely changed the automotive world.

If you know, you know. The NSX didn’t just compete with European supercars in the 90s; it forced them to evolve.

▪️ The world’s first production car to feature a lightweight, all-aluminum body and chassis.
▪️ Mid-engine 3.0L V6 equipped with VTEC and titanium connecting rods.
▪️ Screaming 8,000 RPM redline.
▪️ Handling and chassis dynamics famously refined by F1 legend Ayrton Senna.

The Northern AutoSpa Treatment:
For a well-preserved classic like this, the goal is paint preservation. We performed a One-Step Paint Correction, carefully pairing a light polishing pad and polish to safely level out light wash marring, fine swirls, and oxidation, then sealed off with a 1 year coating. This single-step process restores incredible depth and clarity without stripping unnecessary amounts of the aging clear coat. The result? A brilliant, mirror-like finish that respects the original paint system. 💎
