The most common misconception in dent repair is that they “just pop out”

Dent guys get tired of hearing it, but the statement is a feature of the industry, not a bug.

Simply put, metal can rebound up to a certain point. After that point it bends and dents. To fix it, we must push or pull it past its new rebound point, and it has to be done in the exact way it was pushed in to prevent further damage.

Using the hula hoop to fix a dent on this Camaro.

It’s funny how you’ll have a tool that’s unused for years, and then one day it comes in clutch on a repair. Then all of a sudden you’re using it weekly.
