Great feedback, guys! The opinions, options, and feedback we collected in this post have provided us with great data. We are striving to make our track the best for our racers - that's right, our racers. We understand we have things that need work, as every track does. Well, that starts with us as a whole. What is best for us is always the question we ask ourselves. We try to do what's best for the families and racers at Jake's. We try to do what's best for the racers - the 80% side of the building - while the other 20% may leave or adjust; it's just that simple. Is everyone going to agree when we make changes? Most likely not, but if a change is made, it's to keep the 80% of our facility happy, because 15 racers versus 50 to 60 racers a week is important, so Jake's can afford to pay the heat and electricity bills that allow us to race. Yes, it can be a very difficult task at times to keep everyone happy. We are okay with that because we volunteered to take that task on! Jake's has its own rules, most of which are close to others, and the base was built from others' platforms. We took that platform and modified it, and have continued to modify it to fit our facility needs. Guys, we have one of the highest weekly car counts in the Midwest, and that's all because we have, for the most part, worked together as a family. One guy's way is not the best for everyone. Fairness and sharing are how this place got to where it is! Guys, think back to when you started and how you received help to get going. Think really hard on that. Look, we know and understand the info everyone has shared to help each other out. Just don't forget that just because you may have gotten fast, stop and think, and make yourself remember where it started. We can promise you one thing - you didn't just dream up this concept all on your own! So, with that being said, if you got fast, it's your time to help others and continue the way this place was built! Find a kid struggling and be their crew chief - it's happening down there. We see the ones helping others; thank you, guys, for that. That's what families do - they come together to make it all happen for everyone, from the cars and helping to the track needs, stickers, banners, painting of the place, and all the upkeep that comes along with it. Thank you all; we look forward to taking things to the next level in the 2026/2027 fall-winter season! Reminder: the track is closed and not open to the public. We race together, practice together, and clean and build together - it's what's fair, and we want to keep it that way!

I have a hoodie from the Nationals that someone took off and laid on the concessions counter. If it is yours, please reach out to Rhonda Bowers with the size so I can get it back to you.

A motor claim (or "claiming rule") at a racetrack allows a competitor to legally purchase another racer's motor for a predetermined, fixed price, usually immediately following a race. This system, is common in local track racing, it's designed to keep costs down and prevent cheating by ensuring competitive motors are affordable. Should we do this at our track again? We have racers we know of spending up to 70 dollars on a 12t titan motor ridiculous price forsure! However we know how competitive racers are and money is no option to some when in competition just the way racing is. We are looking to stop the motion of the cost getting out of hand! So with that said solutions are needed! As of today we are looking into options the claim is one option. Another is checking on a dyno and putting output limits on them. Please comment below your thoughts of bringing the motor claim back or if we should atleast keep a max output limit on them! Cars have got way better setups today and we have nights that the track has grip and the motors 100% make a difference. So since we know this we will be back to working on the affordable family fun platform. Buy buying 10 motors to find the good one or spending 50 to 70 on a 27 dollar motor doesn't sound affordable to the majority we promise you that. The majority is what makes us Jake's Rc Raceway special! We have one of the largest if not the largest weekly car counts in the midwest and we would like to keep it that way! So we are going to work to resolve this issue before it gets out of hand and drives away racers! Also what else can we do to help our racers feel things are fair that we are missing? We was reached out to on other classes that got through tech during Nationals. Yes our main focus was on A-Mods due to the purse laid out for them. However we feel the concerns that others may have slipped by on other classes. Our staff will have more help and a better game plan next year.
