Its with great sadness to inform you all that the 1/24th scale clock crawler course is now gone. With the oval crew taking over they decided to toss it in the dumpster for more pit spots. BUT, They have promised to build back better, a bigger crawler course for the future! Here's a few action shots from our grand opening of "THE CAVE" just last winter. Big thanks to the guys who helped create this fun course!

Hey there everybody. Im sorry for a late decision, I struggled with the decision n was even nervous to share my feelings with Travis the other day. Honesty is the best policy so I had to bite the bullet and tell him my internal conflict. I've been blessed to have handfuls of great sportman that helped make my dream come true for the last 20 years! When one friend/coordinator was busy or unavailable another top notch racer would step up and take the reins. The team work was amazing and I felt like the luckiest guy in the world after a long night of side by side rc action! I would have made the choice sooner but I was trying to make things work for EVERYONE still and truth be told I just can't make it ALL work every weekend. If you didn't know I have become obsessed with baseball again. It could be yet another midlife crisis for me, but I have been involved with many levels of ball whether I am coaching young kids or training with teens from south Africa, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, DR, Mexico, etc etc. I installed a batting cage with pitching machine, and a very impressive hittrax set up. It's basically a top golf hardware n software but for baseball. It tells you the speed of the pitch, the launch angle off the bat, the exit velo off the bat, how many feet the ball would have traveled in a stadium of my choice. Players can chose any stadium in the US for the virtual games, batting n pitching practice including homerun derby. I am 45 and play on a 19 n over Mexican baseball league the last 3 years. I am blessed to still be able to play 9 innings every week. With that said I want to give it my all until I can't. I was honestly hoping I could convert the baseball facility back to the track and back to baseball but it's just not feasible. However. I am open to a trophy event or 2 this winter since a complete overhaul back n forth would be worth the efforts for a bigger event. I will have hitting tunnel and pitching tunnels available throughout the year with online schedules. Maybe some of you want to get in the cage n see what you can do on the hittrax? It is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement. There will be no offroad carpet racing at Jake’s RC this winter. Due to the lack of interest in indoor offroad racing we’ve experienced over the last two-three seasons of racing, the decision was made to convert the area into something else and go a different direction with the building. It’s not a decision that came easy and we hope you still find a way to enjoy the hobby and support your local hobby shops. Thanks for all the memories!!!

No racing this weekend. Just not enough interest. Track is open for practice, 12-8pm. $5, pay and enter thru the front.

Gauging interest in racing this weekend. Do we need to move the times back a couple hours? Would be nice to at least have a race a month over the summer. Or do we go ahead and move to a Tuesday night program? Let me know what you all think!!!
