Nestled on a fantastic asphalt meadow on the sunny side of West Tharpe St, Import Authority resides in a building whose architecture rivals that of the greatest climate-controlled self storage warehouses in Leon county. Established in an era when the mighty "brick" phone was being threatened by the upcoming dynasty of the beeper, Warren & Steve started with two toolboxes and a mission - to provide
honest and quality service in an industry plagued with less-than-desirable reputations. Although slightly tarnished by an affinity for bad jokes and questionable facial hair choices, we at Import Authority have managed to establish a warm reputation and continue our mission over 20 years later. With 6 Tally Awards under our belt and dozens of "Thank Yous" and "My car seems fixed's," we have grown to 5 technicians, occupy a storefront, and have a website to keep up with the "email" craze that all the kids are talking about. As far as automotive technology is concerned, we have tried to stay current with factory scanners for Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota, Lexus, GM, and Chrysler and will soon be adding Honda/Acura. Additionally, we have the capabilities of setting the clock time and radio station presets on nearly all makes and models. Our cutting-edge waiting area features a standard definition TV, a place to sit, and a nice candle that we light to cover up the aromatic mixture of cats and diesel fuel. Wi-Fi and coffee are also available.
