Duke and Pete have already agreed: your car shouldn’t have to beg for a checkup.

If your car seems to be running fine, do you really need regular maintenance?

Yes. Routine maintenance helps catch small issues before they become bigger, more expensive problems. Fluid checks, inspections, brakes, and scheduled services all help keep your vehicle reliable and running the way it should.

Oil on the driveway is never the souvenir your BMW meant to leave behind.

Will is working on a BMW 335i that came in with an oil leak, and this is a good reminder that leaks are worth paying attention to.

How do you know if an oil leak is serious?

It depends on where it is coming from, how much is leaking, and how quickly the leak is developing. That is why finding the actual source is so important. A puddle tells you something is happening, but it does not tell you why.

Good diagnosis means following the evidence instead of guessing.

Your BMW has plenty of personality already. It does not need to start communicating through spots on the driveway.

If you've been following us for a while, you've probably noticed a lot of Alfa Romeos rolling through here. That's not an accident.

Bristow's is a proud partner of the Northwest Alfa Romeo Club, and honestly it comes down to respect. There's something about these cars and the people who love them that you don't find everywhere.

Take the badge on this one. The Quadrifoglio, the little green four-leaf clover, goes all the way back to 1923. Alfa driver Ugo Sivocci painted it on his car for luck before the Targa Florio and went out and won. The clover stuck as Alfa's good luck charm and eventually became the mark they put on their fastest machines.

Later that same year, Sivocci was killed while testing an Alfa race car at Monza. The car didn't appear to carry the Quadrifoglio, and that fact became part of the legend surrounding the badge. Over time, the white background behind the clover came to be depicted as a triangle rather than a square, often said to symbolize the loss of one of Alfa's original factory drivers. More than a hundred years later, it's still there on the Quadrifoglio sitting in our shop right now.
