When you’re not treating an entire panel, it’s important to place the material where it will have the greatest impact.

Whether your goal is better sound quality, less road noise, or fewer vibrations, using the right material in the right location makes all the difference.

A clean audio signal has smooth, rounded peaks. Once you push a source unit or amplifier beyond its limits, those peaks begin to flatten. This flattened waveform is known as clipping.

A clipped signal creates distortion, generates excess heat, and can shorten the life of your speakers.

More volume isn’t always better. This is why the gain control on an amplifier is not a volume k**b.

The goal is to send the highest unclipped signal possible through your RCAs from the source unit while ensuring it stays within the amplifier’s input voltage range. Then, make sure the amplifier has enough clean power to meet your listening demands and your speakers’ power handling capabilities.

This is one of the many reasons proper system design, equipment matching, and tuning matter.

The camera never tells the whole story, but it gives you a pretty good idea of the difference.

Those quick flashes are the Lucas Lighting L5 LED high beams coming on.

More usable light farther down the road means more time to react to wildlife, debris, or anything else that shouldn’t be in your lane.

This wraps up our latest Lexus ES350 install.

It wasn’t a huge custom build, and that was never the goal. The customer wanted to reuse equipment he already owned and keep the installation simple.

Our job was to make sure it was done cleanly, reliably, and with the same attention to detail we’d put into any vehicle that comes through our shop.

Because at the end of the day, attention to detail shouldn’t depend on the size of the project.
