Have a look at this hand-made interior for a 1957 Bel-Air that we built with our in-house partners, JK Automotive Designs! Everything you can see inside, except the dashboard and steering wheel, was handcrafted in-house.
Beneath the leather surfaces, all of the substructures are made from various plastics that were carefully crafted for excellent fit, finish, and longevity. The interior also makes exclusive use of rare earth magnets to hold many of the panels together, making this interior fully serviceable in minutes.

Fabrication of the interior soft surfaces has started! working our way down we started with the headliner, custom made from a high quality automotive wool this material offers a period matching look for the interior.

We created the template from just the metal rails that hold the headliner in place. It almost gives a new meaning to "Starting from scratch". Carefully measuring out the distance between each tension rod we patterned out each panel before moving on to cutting it out of the fabric.

Sewing each piece together with the pocket for the tension rod in place, making sure that every hem is straight and even. Slowly the headliner comes together before finally being completed. The next step is to fit it in place and start cutting it up. In order to make it fit perfectly alterations need to be once the headliner is fitted in place.

Gently pulling and tugging the fabric into place any wrinkles or sags disappear and once the headliner is taught it is stapled in place, lastly re-installing the trim around the edges is the finishing touch.

The sun visors are hand made, a basic bracket was supplied and modified to suit the look we decided upon. Once the backing material has been covered it was time to carefully stitch them together. With only one chance to get it right a single stitch is put around the perimeter with almost robotic precision.

Progress is moving along swiftly with our classc 57' Chevy Bel Air build, the sound deadening and heat retention / reflection has been laid down on the full roof and the floors of the interior.

SoundSkins Butel and closed cell foam system eliminates panel resonance and absorbs unwanted vibrations and sounds at the same time. This was applied to the floor pan of the 57' in a cut template style, piecing them together for a perfect fit along all of the contours of the body.

Over the SoundSkin we laid down a second layer of metal foiled sound dampening material with heat rejection properties to keep the inside of the car cool and comfortable during the summer and retains the heat inside the car during the colder nights.
