Bailey Tire CO is looking to add a self-motivated, hard-working Tire Technician to our growing team. Applicants must be reliable, hardworking, and willing to work in other areas as needed. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
• Perform basic preventive care and maintenance, such as changing oil, checking fluid levels, brakes, and lights
• Tire inspection: Examining tires for wear, damage, tread depth, sidewall integrity, and valve stem condition.
• Tire installation: Mounting and dismounting tires on rims using specialized equipment, including proper inflation and pressure checks.
• Tire balancing: Utilizing balancing machines to identify and correct wheel imbalances by adding weight.
• Tire repairs: Patching punctures, repairing small cuts, and addressing other repairable tire damage.
• Tire rotation: Regularly rotating tires on vehicles to ensure even wear.
• Wheel alignment: Performing wheel alignments to optimize tire life and vehicle handling.
• Safety procedures: Following safety protocols when operating machinery and handling tires.
Required skills and knowledge:
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and specialized tire equipment
• Understanding different tire types and their applications
• Knowledge of tire maintenance best practices
• Ability to identify tire damage and determine repair feasibility
• Attention to detail and focus on quality work
• Strong communication skills to interact with coworkers and customers
• Continuously expanding your knowledge of new technologies and practice
