“Ride to Morristown”— Tuesday July 21st. No rain til later tonite— so we made a quick ride plan and headed out. We left right before 9am— rode south on Chapman Hwy all the way to Sevierville where we took 339 south. We stayed on 339 til we reached Cosby— then took 321 north before jumping on 73 ( it runs right along the Pigeon River ) which took us north into Newport. In downtown Newport, we got back on 321 north out of town— then got on 160 north which took us up into Morristown. We stopped for lunch right around 12:15 at The Davy Crockett Restaurant right on Morris Blvd. It was our 1st time there and what a great meal. Home Cookin’ at its best— friendly staff— and the place was packed. ( put this one on your list ). After lunch— we headed north on 25E up to Lake Shore Rd which brought us back down to 92 and The Cherokee Dam— where we stopped to see the beautiful scenery. After our little break— we got back on 92 which took us over to 11E and then we rode south back into Knoxville. It was a great ride— so we topped it off by stopping at Twisters on Central for a Banana Split ( some of the Time Warp Vintage MC guys were already gathering for their Tuesday night bike nite ). We finally made it back home around 4:30 and our total mileage was 177 miles😀😀😀
