How to tell if that pothole you just ran over caused damage to your vehicle.

1. Your steering is pulling to either the right or the left.
2. If you feel as though your vehicle is swaying left to right, especially when turning corners, or is bouncing/bottoming out.
3. Visually inspect your tires looking for cuts or bulges along the rubber. Look for bends or cracks in the rims.
4. If you do hit a pothole, take a minute or two, as soon as it is safe to do so, to visually inspect your vehicle and make a special note of any damage to the tires. Safe driving starts with a safe vehicle. here are 3 things that you can do before pulling out of your driveway:
- Clean your windshield and your headlights. Make sure that your wiper blades are not worn, and if they are, replace them. Always make sure that the reservoir is filled with windshield wiper fluid.
- Check the pressure on all four tires and the spare. Recommended pressures will be printed in the vehicle's handbook, or on a sticker in the door jamb. Also, make sure the tires have sufficient tread for safe travel.
- Check all of your engine’s fluids to make sure that they are full. If you don’t know where all of the fluid bottles are stored, your owner’s manual can help you locate them.
