🚨 Be honest… how long has that light been on? 👀
A day? A week? A month?
Or are you using the tried-and-true strategy of “Maybe if I ignore it, it’ll go away.” 😂
Sometimes a check engine light is something minor. Other times, it’s your vehicle’s way of telling you something needs attention before it becomes a bigger problem.
Either way, guessing isn’t much of a diagnostic strategy.
And no… putting a piece of tape over the light doesn’t count. 😎

October weekends in Michigan have a way of filling up fast.
Our kids have games. We have leaves to clean up, home projects we’re trying to finish, maybe one more round of golf, and hopefully another weekend up north before the snow starts flying.

And our vehicles are what get us to all of it.

That’s why we talk so much about staying on top of preventive maintenance. It’s not about making your vehicle another thing on your October to-do list. It’s about taking care of it so it’s ready when you are.

If your oil change is coming due or there’s something you’ve been meaning to have us look at, schedule online with us at the link in the comments!

You leave the house on a chilly Michigan morning, start your car, and there it is: the tire pressure light. 😟

It’s pretty common once our temperatures start bouncing around in the fall. Colder air can lower tire pressure, but that doesn’t mean you should automatically blame the weather and ignore the light.

Take a minute to check the actual pressure in all four tires. If one is noticeably lower than the others, keeps losing air, or the light stays on after the pressure is corrected, there may be something else going on.

The goal isn’t to guess why a warning light came on. It’s to find out.

That’s a Fall Car Care Tip from our team. More Michigan fall driving tips are coming every Thursday this month.

October is all about horror movies, but some things on the road are way scarier! Which of these gives you the biggest goosebumps?

A) Hearing a sudden loud POP on the highway at night 🛞💥
B) The gas light turning on when there's not a gas station in sight. ⛽️
C) Stepping on the brake pedal and feeling it sink squishy to the floorboard 🛑🧽
D) Seeing smoke start creeping out from under the hood 💨

Whatever your driving nightmare is, regular preventative maintenance keeps the real horror stories off your daily commute! Turn to our shop for your auto services.

To our neighbors working across the street at the hospital, this one is especially for you.

Your shift doesn’t always line up with our shop hours. And for busy parents, sometimes the only quiet moment you have to drop off your vehicle is after the kids are where they need to be and the day finally slows down.

That’s why we have an after-hours drop box.

Bring your vehicle by when it works for your schedule, leave your keys securely in the drop box, and our team can take it from there when we open.

Because getting your vehicle to the shop shouldn’t require rearranging your entire day. Call us at (586) 203-3934 if you need more info.
