Words cannot describe the feeling we experienced on this event…

We came to the FL2K with no expectations being our first event with this car. Even though we know how consistent this car always is when we test it we experienced some issues on the qualifying rounds….

We were wheel hopping to the point that the tires were coming of the ground 😂 “will upload a video later of that” we were not looking for better numbers or PBs we just wanted the car to be consistent and i think we did a pretty good job with it….

Thursday…
After the first round of qualy car needed a bigger coolant reservoir even tough car wasnt spilling coolant outside the system for safety mesasures we decided to skip the second round of qualy to have the car ready for the next day with another reservoir.

Friday…
Third round of qualy we had the issues with the wheel hop on that pass. after looking the suspension setup for a while we found finally found the issue!

Saturday…
Fourth round of qualy car was finally running as usual on testing we went 10.0@144mph we classified on the stick shift sport class.
On the first round of eliminations we got a bye run.

Sunday…
Second round of eliminations got the win with a 9.9 vs a honda civic.
Third round of eliminations “Semi Finals” got the win vs a mustang.
And yes our first event and we got to the finals…
Final Round vs an 8 second honda that seems to had issues on the qualy rounds and classified on the sports class not on the street class. We slept on the light and got sand bagged 😂…

WE GOT THE 2nd PLACE!!!

It was a crazy weekend for sure. We learned a lot me as a tuner and us as a team. This is not over we are just starting!!!

Infiniti Q50 VQ37VHR

One of our customers going back 4–5 years came back to us after making some major changes to his Q50 following a previous water-meth system failure.

Build…
• Rear-mount turbo setup
• Comp Turbo oil-less
• Forged pistons & rods
• JWT exhaust cams
• Xpress injectors
• Fuel return system
• DeatschWerks fuel pump
• Flex-fuel sensor

All mechanical work and engine assembly were performed by Quality Auto in Cayey, PR.

The entire setup is controlled through EcuTek, including boost control, fueling, flex-fuel calibration, and safety strategies/failsafes.

On E60, the car peaked at 16 PSI and reached the customer’s goal of 700 WHP without pushing the combination further. There is definitely more power available, but there was no reason to chase a higher number.

Final numbers were 722whp/566tq

And yes — this is a daily-driven Q50.

The goal was simple: build a reliable, street-driven combination that could make the power the customer wanted while maintaining proper control and safety.

This MK7.5 Golf R came to us with:

• Precision Stage 2 bolt-on turbo
• Custom intake
• APR downpipe
• MPI + Flex Fuel
• Upgraded intercooler
• Full exhaust
• Stock charge pipes
• Stock long block

Current results:

E28 — 527 WHP / 446 WTQ
E60 — 574 WHP / 499 WTQ

All the mechanical work was performed by the owner of the vehicle on his business Alexis Autoworks

These are not the final numbers. We’re currently limited by the DQ381 TCM definition, which is still being developed. We’re missing approximately 500–600 RPM in the usable range for this turbo, and we also want to bring the mid-range torque down slightly as we continue refining the calibration.

The goal is to properly optimize the powerband and keep the torque delivery where we want it before pushing the combination further.

Yes, 600 WHP is within the target for this stock-long-block setup, but we’re taking the time to finish the TCM side properly before going after the final numbers.

MK3 Supra | 1JZ-GTE Re-Tune

We re-tuned this MK3 Supra after the customer addressed some fueling issues, We use ECUMaster Classic standalone for tuning.

The result: 601 WHP / 494 WTQ on E65 with the stock 1JZ long block.

And yes… the car is still running an “eBay” turbo. 😂
