On today’s edition of yoga at your local repair shop: accessing cabin air filters.

Some cabin air filters can be quite awkward to install. Prior to a visit with Harrell & Beverly, this cabin air filter was not installed properly, likely due to the unhandy location, and that’s why it was crumpled up. That means not only is it dirty, but it also wasn’t filtering correctly, reducing the efficiency of the AC system and allowing gross contaminants and odors to permeate.

Who knew fire inspections could be so... lit? 😂 Thanks to the amazing team at Sanford Fire Department, especially our inspector, Dan Taylor. Turns out he's a former Lieutenant from the Orlando Fire Department! A real life Lieutenant Dan Taylor, just like Forrest Gump! Oh and his dad jokes were on FIRE 🔥 And most importantly, we're happy to report that we passed with flying colors.

It may look like all fun and dad jokes at Harrell & Beverly, but we do have days where our buttons aren't perfect and we accidentally get transmission fluid all over our white shirts.

Sometimes we are provided with defective parts, sometimes it takes a lot more than one or two phone calls to get warranties and insurance straightened out for our customers, and sometimes the internet goes kaput. Sometimes a vehicle will throw us the strangest and most irritating problems that any tech has ever seen in their career.

But through it all it is our faith, family, and the trust and kindness of our customers that support us and get us through the tough days.

Just about every Friday, our fin-tastic owners, Lloyd and Nelson, shell-ebrate the end of the week at The Current Seafood Counter-Sanford located in Henry's Depot Food Hall - Sanford, FL. It's clear they think it's shrimply the best!

A heartwarming throwback from our archives—a thank-you letter written by our uncle and previous owner, Don Beverly, to his dad, David Beverly, who was the owner of Harrell & Beverly from 1959-2005. Don's school, Lake Mary Elementary, visited the shop for a field trip to learn about the auto repair business (and have a soda!).

This weekend, we honor the dedication and love that fathers pour into their families and businesses.

Did you know...? We're celebrating our 65th anniversary here in Sanford, but Harrell & Beverly has been providing auto repair service since it was started by our great-grandfather and grandfather in Bluefield, Virginia in 1952. That's SEVENTY-TWO years of professionalism, honesty, and dependability.
