What we found made us SO mad for this guest!

This truck has sentimental value to its owner, so when the transmission began having problems, they wanted to keep it on the road.

They had the transmission rebuilt earlier this year at another shop. They continued having issues, so had it replaced. Less than a month later, they are still having problems.

They came to us for an honest look, and what we found made us so mad and sad for them!

Metal and clutch debris, a loose bolt in the pan. A HUGE wad of silicone restricting the filter. An auxiliary transmission cooler that should have been replaced after the previous failure. And additional workmanship concerns elsewhere.

Transmission repair is about more than the transmission. Cleanliness matters. Proper installation matters. The little details matter.

We're REALLY good at solving problems. However, this Ford Edge gave Lloyd one of the CRAZIEST diagnostic puzzles he's ever seen.

But we don’t give up. 💪

Huge thanks to Brandon Steckler, a nationally recognized diagnostic trainer and technical educator, for helping Lloyd work through it. Even Brandon had never seen a failure quite like this one! (Which made Lloyd feel a little better himself. 😅)

We solved it with experience, determination, and collaboration.
