In our latest video, we explore the value proposition posed by the 981 Porsche Cayman versus the 718 Cayman, especially now that Porsche has doubled down and then doubled back on the elimination of gas powered Porsche Boxster and Cayman models. The 982 generation of Boxster and Cayman has some big pros (and some cons), not the least of which revolves around the powertrain. Some people have come to love the tunability and character of the turbo four, but many still long for the Porsche flat six sounds that the 981 Cayman still produces. We think this makes the 981 Porsche Cayman the last great Porsche value, but like all Porsche marketplace phenomenons, people are starting to wake up to that fact and 981 prices are climbing. Get in while you can! We applaud this customer for doing so.

This Porsche Cayman came in for a serious brake upgrade since it's becoming a regularly tracked sports car. We upgraded the rotors to more capable rotors with pads that were aggressive enough for track use while still being acceptable on the street. This Porsche brake upgrade will give the customer more performance and confidence on track and will resist fading thanks to higher temp fluids. The Ferrari F430 is one of the best sounding modern Ferraris, following on the heels of the watershed Ferrari 360 and preceding the absolutely epic Ferrari 458 Italia, one of the best looking modern Ferraris in addition to being the last of the naturally aspirated mid-engined V8 Ferraris. When one of our customers bought a new to him Ferrari F430 spyder and wanted to replace the headers and exhaust, we knew that it would unleash the naturally aspirated Ferrari V8 in a way few current cars can match. With stricter emissions regulations and the rise of turbocharged powertrains across the industry, the high-pitched wail that characterized Ferraris of old was getting harder and harder to come by. Thanks to an exhaust by this Ferrari F430 can scream to the heavens in a tenor you just don’t hear on the street. Getting a nail in your Porsche Panamera tire is bad enough, but when that nail is a masonry nail that penetrates the wheels well, you're in for a really bad day. We certainly don't see this very often, but this customer's wheel was fully stabbed by the nail, mainly because the tire depressurized to the extent that the industrial strength nail had nowhere left to go but through the wheel. We don't expect you'll encounter this problem in your Porsche, but it's a good reminder that a flat tire, especially a bad one, can end up costing you far more than the price of a new tire. Stay safe out there!

The idea of creating a community around automotive service seems outlandish only because of the reputation the industry has. Building trust and relationships with people is dependent on actions, not words, which is why we host Sundays at Wolfpen each month.
