Paladins Car Club

Paladins Car Club The Paladins were a car club in Richmond Va back in the early 60's about 10 Years ago it was brought back The noun paladin means "Champion of a cause".

The Paladins Car Club was originally formed in Richmond Va. in the 60's... We have tried to find out more information about the club after locating the plaque used as our cover photo ...After 8 years, with no luck other than the old timers saying they remember the name but nothing more about who might have been in it, It was decided that it was great name and should be re-formed, so as of January

1, 2017 we are the Paladins Car Club. If you have any information at all about the Original Club or it's members Please contact us. The original Paladins were known as "The Twelve Peers", the corps d'elite of knights, sworn to the service of King Charlemagne. This is believed to be the basis of King Arthur's " Knights of the Round Table". The Knights Templar are looked upon as the first Paladinic order, and many Fraternal organizations are based upon this structure. After World War II, the hot rod culture began to grow, starting in the late 1940's and running thru the mid 1960's, many clubs were formed including "The Paladins Car Club of Richmond Virginia" Many of these clubs embraced this structure and it’s code of chivalry, and formed clubs using words like Knights, Kings, Lords, etc. in their names. The newly re-formed "Paladins Car Club of Richmond Virginia" is a "Traditional Hot Rod" car club, embracing the both the values of those men and women who built the hot rods of the 40's, 50's, and 60's, as well as the virtues of the original Paladin Knights. Our focus is on vehicles manufactured prior to 1962, built in a period correct style, whether stock, custom or hot rod. Our mission is to preserve both the cars and history of this era, and to pass this knowledge and these values on to a new generation. Our Code of Virtues
