Compared with the 2025 Italian Grand Prix, the braking effort required from both drivers and braking systems is lower due to the characteristics of the 2026 Formula 1 cars. At the Variante della Roggia, drivers experienced 4.5 g of deceleration and applied 159 kg of force to the brake pedal last year, whereas in 2026 those figures are expected to be 3.7 g and 108 kg respectively.
