Why we always replace TPMS seals or replace TPMS sensors when tires are due.
To fix this air leak, the tire needs to be dismounted from the rim and either new seals installed or a new sensor, depending upon the type of sealing surface the sensor uses.
Age and milage can come into play.
This type of issue comes into the shop more than you think. This could have been prevented if the prior shop took the time to let the customer know what happens when a job is left short.
