As an end of season treat the Richmond Little League Auto Rescue Bulls got to throw the first pitch at the Richmond Flying Squirrels game in the brand new stadium!!!

These boys worked hard all year and we were very proud to sponsor them!

A few of these players showed the core values needed to play on the RLL All Stars team this summer so stay tuned!!

Yesterday was the Bulls’ final game of the season.

At the beginning of the year, a lot of these boys barely knew where to stand on the field. Balls would roll through the infield and everybody would chase it at once. The outfield looked like a group of kids wandering through a park.

Yesterday was different.

You saw boys in “baseball ready” stance before the pitch was even thrown. You heard them shouting to each other across the field. When the ball got past the second baseman, there was already another player backing him up. They attacked the ball like they couldn’t wait to get to it.

But the coolest part wasn’t baseball.

It was watching a group of young boys become a team.

By the end of the season, everybody knew everybody’s name. They learned how to work together, how to encourage each other, how to handle mistakes, and how to keep going after failure. After the game ended, the boys gathered at the playground for a pizza party sponsored by Auto Rescue and just played together like old friends. Even some of the players from the other team stayed and joined in on the fun!

That doesn’t happen by accident.

The coaches did an incredible job this season finding the balance between structure, discipline, learning, and FUN. These boys showed up, practiced hard, ran drills, sharpened their skills, and learned the strategy behind the game… but what they’ll remember most is that baseball became something they loved.

Auto Rescue was proud to sponsor this team because the lessons these boys learned are the same things we believe in every day:
Consistency.
Teamwork.
Improvement over time.
Showing up ready.
Supporting the people around you.

Proud of these boys.
Proud of these coaches.
Proud to be part of it.

And we’ve got one more surprise left for these boys before the season officially wraps up.

A while back we shared that Auto Rescue donated a 5 pack of oil changes to the Richmond Book Festival silent auction at Lois Harrison-Jones Elementary School

Yesterday, the winning family came in for their very first visit.

What started as an oil change turned into something much more meaningful.

After servicing the vehicle and completing a full health check, we gave their 7 year old son a tour of the shop. He got to walk through the bays, check out the tools, and even go UNDER a real vehicle on the lift.

The coolest part? He already knew some stuff.

He pointed out the brakes, identified the exhaust pipe, and proudly told me he had been watching videos about cars at school.

Moments like that matter.

Sometimes an oil change is just an oil change.
Sometimes it is a family finding a shop they trust.
Sometimes it inspires a kid to learn how things work.

Then later this review came in from the family:

“This was my first experience with Auto Rescue and I’m now a huge fan! ... I’m thrilled I found my ‘place’ to bring my vehicles from now on.”

That right there is what we are building at Auto Rescue. ❤️

We do also offer these 5 pack oil change programs to our clients, saving about $120 over 5 visits while helping families stay ahead on maintenance.

We’re excited to welcome David to the team at Auto Rescue of Lakeside.

David comes to us from a fast-paced oil change shop, and from the moment he sat down with us, it was clear. Great attitude. Great energy. The kind of “let’s go” mindset we look for.

When he walked out of the interview, we all looked at each other and said the same thing… that’s our guy.

He’s got the foundation, the personality, and the drive. Now it’s our job to help him level up. David is on the path to becoming a master technician, and we believe he’s going to get there fast.

Welcome to the team, David.

This one got me a little.

6 year olds. First baseball game.

You could see it… some nerves, parents hovering, kids not totally sure what to expect.

Then they put the jerseys on.

Auto Rescue across their backs… These kids looked sharp!

But the best part wasn’t the shirts.

It was what happened next.

Parents and coaches jumping in, helping with the lineup, talking them through it, getting them fired up. Teaching them to go after the ball like it matters. Telling them to run to first like something’s chasing them.

And you could see it start to click.

We kept it simple:
Be consistent.
Talk to each other.
Be brilliant at the basics.

That’ll take you a long way.
