Eric is one of the most easy-breezy guys in the shop. With over 15 years of experience at a local Toyota dealership, he brings the specialized expertise we expect here at Ironwood Automotive. Born and raised in RVA, Eric got his start in the automotive industry performing oil changes and worked his way up from there. Funny enough, he isn’t actually a “car guy,” but he discovered something he was good at and stuck with it.

We appreciate Eric for his dedication, easygoing attitude, and knack for efficiency. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, traveling, and attending festivals with his family.

Your car’s computer can give us a lot of information, but trouble codes are only the starting point. A code tells us where the vehicle noticed a problem—not necessarily what caused it.

That’s where experience, testing, and a little detective work come in. 🔍

We’re here to help you make the best decision for your car, even when that means sending you somewhere else. In this case, a newly extended Honda warranty meant this customer could have their repair completed at the dealership at no cost.

🚨 RICHMOND CONTENT CREATORS — WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE 👀

Ironwood Automotive is looking for a freelance content creator/videographer to help us make more great short-form content.

To start, the job is simple: We bring the ideas. You bring the camera. 🎥

We’re looking for someone to come to our Richmond shop about once a month to film + edit Reels and short-form video. We’ll handle the content planning, captions, posting and scheduling.

You might be our person if you:
• Know how to shoot + edit engaging short-form video
• Understand Reels and current social trends
• Have a good sense of humor
• Can make non-professional actors look somewhat professional 😂
• Actually know or like cars 🔧

The long-term goal? Find someone who really gets Ironwood—our team, humor and voice—and can eventually take on more of the process, from spotting the idea → filming → editing → helping manage the content calendar.

You just came in for the oil change 😩 We get it!

We’re not saying you need to fix everything today. But we’re going to tell you what we found, what’s worth keeping an eye on, and what you may want to plan for down the road.

Sometimes it’s a “Yep, let’s do it!”. Sometimes it’s a “Nope. Not today.” Either way, it’s A-OK. 👌

Our job is to keep you informed so there are fewer surprises later.

Justin is, ironically, one of the youngest and one of the longest-tenured employees at Ironwood! He joined the team in 2020 as a shop apprentice during COVID while taking a break from college. He had a natural knack for all things automotive and, well... he just never left! 😆

Today, Justin is a certified Virginia State Inspector and our resident JDM/RHD specialist. He’s capable of handling just about any task we put in front of him, but he especially enjoys engine work and other large repairs.

When he’s not at Ironwood, he’s usually working on one of his many personal vehicle projects, riding dirt bikes, or going to a show.
