From day one, this has been about placemaking—investing in our youth, building a future for local families around motocross, and doing the Lord’s work for our community.
Seeing Jonathon, Thomas, Hunt, and Gavin pour their pride and hard work into transforming this facility over five weeks is what keeping that promise looks like. Huge thanks to Madeline Byrne at Broome-Tioga BOCES and Beth Ellis for their incredible guidance and support.
As a former BOCES student myself (taking marketing—go figure!), seeing this come full circle means everything.
Check out what these young men accomplished below! 👇🏁

Honoring Our Roots. Building the Future. 🏁

As Broome-Tioga pushes into the rest of the season and gears up for 2027, we want to give a massive thank you to Tom Hurd. Tom dedicated decades to this property and the sport of motocross. While he won't be involved with operations moving forward, we are deeply grateful for the foundation he built here.

Carrying that legacy forward, meet our new executive and field leadership—the Broome-Tioga Legacy Club:

Dominick Morse — Chief Track Architect & Lead Builder
A legitimate operator with thousands of hours in the dozer seat, dialing in the dirt, flow, and safety of every section.

Patrick Busutti — Director of Track Operations & Logistics
The operational engine coordinating personnel, logistics, and racer experience.

Damon Dowd — Field Operations Lead & Equipment Specialist
Keeping our equipment running and property maintained at the highest standard daily.

We’re honoring the history and raising the bar for our riders and families. Track and weekend event updates are dropping later this week—stay tuned!

Hey everyone,

Last week we didn’t run practice because the weather was just horribly awful. I know we were all looking forward to getting out there this weekend, but I have to make the call to hold off on practice again because we just aren't prepared for it.

Right now, I’m in the process of buying a new bulldozer that we need to properly prep the track and make sure it’s safe for everyone. Our partners at Five Star are helping us put that together, but we don't have it on the property just yet.

It’s vitally important that you guys understand where we're at with this, and I apologize. Sometimes the world just doesn’t move at the pace we want it to move…. That’s all.

I will post an update toward the end of the weekend, or Monday at the latest, so we can get back on track—no pun intended.

Thanks for your patience,

Damien

Folks, here is the update. My sentiments remain the same as yesterday. It is sunny today, however, the ground is really, really soft. I have decided we will postpone this weekend’s Family Ride until next weekend.

Here’s why. I just don’t want to rush things. I want to make sure we offer great value to all of you, and I just don’t see that happening right now. It would take a full day, if we’re lucky, to make repairs to the track. Guys, across the street there are places where the water just decimated the jumps that parallel the tree line.

All that stuff has to be fixed. So, I wanted to give everybody a heads up now so you can make other plans with your families and ride at other locations that didn’t get the weather that we got.

I will give updates throughout the week as we get things situated.
I’ve done the best I can to keep up with the page, but I do want to express my gratitude. It means a lot to me that everyone reads the posts and we get to talk about it. I think that’s important.

Have a blessed weekend.
Talk to you guys soon.

Damien.

I don’t know where to begin. This weekend was absolutely fantastic. I met folks from Delaware, New Jersey, the Poconos. I met fellas that had won state championships back in the 90s that showed up to ride this weekend. It was just awesome, man. I love the stories; spending the weekend at Broome Tioga with people that ride motorcycles is really fulfilling and I’m grateful for the opportunity.

I was waiting to make this post because I was looking at the weather to see if it would change. Unfortunately it hasn’t. Lol.
Ok, so here are the plans for this week:
We will offer a weekend of Family Ride Days. It should be absolutely awesome because it’s gonna rain all week and everyone knows Broome loves the rain...!

Check the flyer for the information. Remember, if you wanna come up on Friday night and camp, that’s free. Spectators as always are totally free. But we will offer riding 10 to 4 both Saturday and Sunday for people that are obviously not racing. And for those of our motorcycle families that are racing, I wish them nothing but the best of luck!

I’ll certainly have pizza for everybody as well. I really enjoyed doing that. Plus, it gives us a good opportunity to water the track if it gets dusty.

Oh, before I forget. Please keep Zach Ostrander and Ryan Chamberlain in your prayers. I like to stay in touch with guys whenever they have a fall. Both of these fellas are on the mend and I just wanna make sure we keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

Have a blessed week everybody and I hope to see you soon!

As always with gratitude, I want to thank everyone for their support this weekend. It was fantastic. It was really encouraging with how many people came through the facility on Sunday, especially since we had such terrible weather on Saturday. So I just wanted to say thank you for that.

Looking ahead, we're adjusting our schedule for this week. Because of the weather forecast, we are moving practice from Wednesday to this Thursday, July 23rd.

Here are the details for the session:

Date: Thursday, July 23rd
Time: 2:00 PM to dusk
Cost: $30

Format: Motorcycles only
Also, a quick reminder that our small track for the Littles is open, so bring the whole family out!

Check out the flyer below for the full rundown. See everyone on Thursday!

Following up on my last post: here is the plan for this weekend at Broome Tioga.

We’re open for practice both Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM. You don't have to commit to the whole weekend—if you’re just coming for one day, it’s $30 for Saturday or $25 for Sunday. If you're camping, you’re welcome to stay, and we’ll only charge you for the riders.

A few quick reminders:
Track access: Motorcycles only on the track. Bring your four-wheelers if you want, but please keep them off the main course.

For the "Littles": The pit bike track is open, and beginners can ride the "Tiny Vet Loop" across the street, as long as they’re with an adult.

Ooohhh! I almost forgot we are doing tie-dye bandannas for the kids in the “kids zone..” it’ll be while supplies last. OK I think we only bought like 30 or something. Lol. But it’s gonna be a fun activity. 😇

We’re focused on making this place better every single day. I'll see you all out there.
