Top Signs Your Brakes Need Attention Before Fall
Fall is just around the corner, and before the temperatures drop and the roads get slick, it is a good time to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season. One of the most important parts of your car to check is the braking system. Whether you're commuting around Rexburg, heading to BYU-Idaho, or planning a fall road trip, reliable brakes are essential for keeping you and your family safe.
At Rexburg Car Shop, we believe in the kind of vehicle maintenance advice a dad would give: don't wait until something breaks to take care of it. If your brakes are making noise, feeling different, or simply haven't been inspected in a while, fall is a great time to have them checked. Why Check Your Brakes Before Fall? Find out why it's important for yours and others' safety.

What Are Dashboard Warning Lights?
Dashboard warning lights can signal anything from a minor issue to a serious problem that requires immediate attention. Some warning lights are relatively minor. A loose gas cap, for example, can trigger a warning light without indicating a major problem. Other lights, however, can point to problems with your engine, brakes, battery, or other important systems. Ignoring them could turn a small repair into a much bigger—and more expensive—problem.
Think of it the same way I'd tell my own kid: if your car is trying to tell you something, listen to it. You don't have to know exactly what's wrong, but you shouldn't ignore the warning either. Getting a dashboard warning light checked by a professional mechanic can help you catch problems early, avoid unexpected breakdowns, and keep you protected and your car safe and reliable.
Our mission is to get you where you need to go. Learn how you can protect yourself and others by looking for these common warning lights.

Squeaky Car Advice
If I could give one piece of advice about taking care of your car, it'd be this: don't wait for a small problem to become a big one.
A squeaky belt might not seem like a big deal. After all, the car still starts, it still drives, and the noise might even disappear after a few minutes. But that little squeal is often your vehicle's way of asking for attention before something more serious happens.
Let's talk about what that noise means and when it's time to have it checked. Learn more on how to fix up any squeaky issues that you may have.
