Johnna Spradling of SEATS Spring Hill Clinic recently had the inspiration to create a garden using several extra crates. Her goal was to keep healthy eating at the forefront of everyone's minds while encouraging teamwork and wellness among staff members.
Johnna invited her coworkers to visit the garden during their breaks and assist with its maintenance. In return for helping care for the garden, employees will be able to enjoy a portion of the harvest.
The garden includes a variety of vegetables and herbs, including tomatoes, lettuce, beans, onions, potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, and cilantro. The project has already generated enthusiasm among staff and serves as a reminder of the benefits of fresh, healthy foods.
Looking ahead, Johnna hopes to expand the garden next year by adding more herbs and a wider variety of vegetables, further enhancing the garden's impact on employee wellness and healthy living.
