If your vehicle needs routine maintenance, has a warning light on, or you’ve noticed a concern that isn’t an emergency, please don’t wait to schedule. Booking early helps us get you on the schedule before a small issue has the chance to become a bigger (and more expensive) repair.

We understand that unexpected breakdowns happen. While our schedule stays busy, we will always do our best to fit in emergency repairs whenever possible and get you safely back on the road.

Don’t just top off the coolant bottle. Fill the system the right way.

One of the biggest mistakes we see after cooling system repairs is simply pouring coolant into the overflow bottle and calling it good.

Modern cooling systems can trap air pockets if they aren’t filled properly. At J’s Auto & Diesel, we use a pressure or vacuum fill method to ensure the cooling system is completely filled and free of trapped air.

Why does it matter?
✅ Prevents air pockets that can cause overheating.
✅ Helps ensure the heater works properly.
✅ Reduces the risk of engine hot spots.
✅ Confirms the cooling system is full from the very first start-up.

A cooling system isn’t “full” just because the reservoir has coolant in it. The engine, radiator, heater core, and hoses all need to be properly filled and bled.

It’s the little details that make the difference between a repair that gets you by and a repair that’s done right.

Looks clean… but don’t let that fool you.

This is the inside of an EGR passage. The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system helps reduce emissions by routing a small amount of exhaust back into the engine. Over time, soot and carbon deposits build up inside these passages, restricting airflow and causing drivability issues.

A restricted or sticking EGR system can lead to:
🔧 Check engine lights
🔧 Rough idle or hesitation
🔧 Reduced fuel economy
🔧 Loss of power
🔧 Increased engine stress

Catching these issues early can often save you from more expensive repairs down the road.

As we watched our community come together today—families lining the streets, children waving flags, and neighbors celebrating side by side—we were reminded that America’s greatest strength has always been its people.

Summer break means we’ve got our favorite little employee back on the payroll! ☀️💪 Restocking the fridge, keeping us organized, and making sure Mom & Dad stay fueled. Paychecks may be small, but the life lessons are priceless. ❤️ Nothing beats raising kids who aren’t afraid to work hard, help out, and be part of the family business.
