Yesterday I talked about everything it takes to build a real PPF department.

So what if you could skip that part and still offer PPF to your customers?

Offering PPF is one thing.

Building a PPF department is another.

An experienced installer. Film inventory. Pattern software. Tools. Training. Warranty support. Installation procedures. Enough consistent work to justify all of it.

That is a pretty big investment just to stop sending PPF customers somewhere else.

What if you could offer the service without having to build all of that yourself?

Shop owners, how often does one of your customers ask about paint protection film?

And what happens when they do?

Do you send them somewhere else? Tell them you don’t offer it? Hope they come back after another shop gets involved?

PPF demand keeps growing, but building an entire department around it isn’t realistic for every automotive business.

We’ve been working on another way to handle it.

Not every window tint appointment comes with a V12 soundtrack.

I’ve said it a million times: a “lifetime warranty” is only as solid as the business standing behind it.

We know of a few local shop owners who are ready to retire, move on to other ventures, or head down south. But that hasn’t stopped them from continuing to use a “lifetime warranty” as part of their sales pitch.

So what happens to the lifetime warranty they sold you?

Was it for the lifetime of the tint, the car, or their business?

A lifetime warranty sounds great when they are trying to make the sale. It only matters if someone is still here to honor it.

Kickin’ Customs has served this area since 2012, and we’re not going anywhere.
