If you’re staying at Port St. Joe RV Resort (about 1 mile from downtown), make one evening a simple “park the rig and go” night at The Flying Harpoon (304 Williams Ave, Port St Joe) — a local bar & grill with a 4.7 rating.

Perfect after a day on the water at St. Joseph Bay (public boat ramp is about 2 miles away), a beach run to Mexico Beach (~12 miles), or a drive out to St. Joseph Peninsula / T.H. Stone Memorial State Park (~22 miles). Then come back to modern, full-hookup comfort, a climate-controlled bathhouse with private showers, and a quiet retreat to end the day.

Happy First Day of Fall! 🍂🌴

Down here on the Forgotten Coast, autumn looks a little different. Instead of trading our flip-flops for snow boots, we’re trading summer crowds for quiet, peaceful beaches and spectacular golden sunsets.

Fall is what locals call the "Secret Season." The water is still warm enough for swimming, but the humidity drops and the evenings bring a perfect, cool coastal breeze—making it the best time of year to relax outside your RV. If you want to experience Florida at its absolute best, this is the time to visit!

Did you know that Port St. Joe is affectionately known as Florida's "Constitution City"? 📜✨

If you’re looking to take a little break from the late summer sun during your stay at Port Saint Joe RV Resort, we highly recommend a deep dive into our local history. Back in 1838, the first constitution of Florida was drafted right here in town!

You can visit the Constitution Convention Museum State Park to see artifacts from the 1800s and check out a life-sized replica of the convention hall.

After soaking up some Florida history, head over to historic Reid Avenue downtown. It’s the perfect place to stroll through unique coastal boutiques, grab a coffee, or enjoy a fresh seafood lunch before heading back to your campsite.
