Before you can flash-tune many late-model BMWs or the B58-powered Toyota GR Supra Mark V, the factory security on the DME must first be unlocked.

The correct unlock method depends on the DME’s production date:

⚡ PRE-06/2020 DMECompleted in-house at Tuning Dynamics using our direct-connect bench equipment.

• Approximately one-hour service• Same-day turnaround• No international shipping• Ready for flash tuning after completion

🌍 POST-06/2020 DMEThese DMEs require a specialized FEMTO unlock. Tuning Dynamics handles the process from start to finish.

• Nationwide service available• Secure, protected shipping• Approximately 3–4-day turnaround• Mobile DME removal available in select areas

🏁 TOYOTA GR SUPRA MARK V the same pre/post-06/2020 rules apply to the B58-powered A90/A91 Supra. This service does not apply to earlier Supra generations.

Once unlocked, your DME can support compatible flash-tuning platforms such as MHD, bootmod3 and EcuTek.

Important: A DME unlock does not add power by itself—it enables the DME to accept compatible performance tuning.
